"The whales here build this community with votes and encouragement and anytime someone gets a vote from taskmaster4450le or onealfa.leo it's a fantastic feeling. I've had a couple of those votes and it really lights a fire under me."
These are the words of cflclosers from his post where he talked about the great responsibility of each of us as users to curate the content that is published on leofinance and thus help the community grow. But from that post I was also struck by how true and satisfying it is to get a big vote in any publication, it's like winning a prize, a feeling of great happiness.
That's why each of us tries to do everything we can to get a vote from a whale, but have you ever wondered how the whale criteria work and how you can get a vote from a whale?
Crosheille explained the steps we should follow to be on a whale's healing radar, which in a nutshell include:
- Quality images
-
Remarkable effort
-
Real commitment
-
Passion and personality
-
And a few extras: such as image font placement, offering English text, acceptable reading length, avoiding milking of communities and originality.
But I think that in addition to these excellent recommendations, I have been able to see that in leofinance you could also add others that also help you when it comes to get a vote as a reward. And throughout the 5 months that I have been here I have been able to pick up several tips that maybe, could help you in this community.
1) Don't tag whales.
I think this is very annoying because if you want to get the attention of the whales do not mention them, rather do it with quality content, not putting their names in every post (if you want to talk about them it is advisable to do it without the @).
Also if you are someone new you need to gain recognition, you will achieve that with your constant comments and quality effort and little by little you will see that your name will appear often in the trending list in leofinance.
2) Research very well before publishing.
3) Don't give up, bide your time.
But perseverance and effort make anything work, I will give you 2 examples, I myself have been here 5 months and only on rare occasions (less than 6 times) I have received a vote from some whales, but nevertheless I have not stopped posting or commenting a single day.
The other example is the whales themselves, since they did not build everything they are overnight, many of them did it with continuous effort, onealfa mentions in his profile that he has about 5 years in the steem and now in the Hive blockchain, and all that time has brought him many experiences and learnings, and the same with all those leofinance whales.
4) Show your commitment with comments.
So if you are constantly making Significant comments on other people's posts, you can see that you are interested in learning and helping, rather than just getting votes and rewards. And the best example is taskmaster who is constantly in first place in all the blog statistics in terms of comments, no doubt imitating that commitment will give you good results in the short, medium and long term.
