I have to say that my engagement on Hive lately has been quite modest, I guess I'm enjoying the time spent outside more than what used to consume me hours and hours a day during winter time. Making the most of the sun that's still in love with us is somehow a priority.

It's been quite long since I got 10 unique comments on a post of mine, but today I managed to score that. I try to give my reply to every comment that's on topic with my content, but I had one from @pouchon that was simply enlightening. So simply put and so much truth in it.

What made me dedicate a whole blog post to it was the ending words: "This is so 2021". So much to say in so little words. The man is indeed right...

Often time we're searching for too much history to repeat and rhyme, we try to figure how things are gonna play out, draw lines, triangles and look for similarities when the actual truth is that we're living unique moments in crypto.

What drove the price of Bitcoin up during the 2013 bull market? I don't know, probably a bunch of nerds and computer geeks buying Bitcoin and storing it on Mt. Gox, I wasn't around back then. 2017 saw a few financial institutions dipping their toes in the crypto waters and a significant number of individuals putting money into Bitcoin and alts(especially ICOs), those were the factors fueling that bull market.

This however... is so 2021. It's like never before and yet we're still scratching the surface of what's to come. Out of the 195 countries in the world, only one is using Bitcoin as legal tender, just one...

It's mind blowing though, when you think that in 2017 we could only imagine such times. There are so many theories regarding the peak of the cycle for Bitcoin, when will that happen, how the bear market should look like and what should we expect down the road, but we're missing the whole point.

We're missing the development taking place, the core value of this technology that digs beyond a dollar valuation we put a too heavy price on. @pouchon, you are so damn right, "this is so 2021". It's like never before and what's going on now will never be replicated. The expansion of this space is unimaginable, thus it feels such a waste of time and resources to try and figure out what the dollar valuations of cryptos will be by the end of the year and looking for endless patterns.

We live in a whole new world, this damn world has changed A LOT in the past one year and a half, how should we expect the bull cycle to be replicating past patterns and why would we even bother calling for similarities from 2013 and 2017 bull markets... We have different factors moving the waters now.

I liked the comment from Puochon, I really did, it's so simple and so in our face. I could have just copy pasted and no crappy adiacent words from my side would have been necessary, cuz it's brilliant, but that would have been plagiarism :). Thanks man for the comment though, you're right, this is so 2021. Simply unique.

Thanks for attention, Adrian
