Kia Ora!
Here is the second installment in my series of sketchbook drawings. I'm including six instead of five because one of the spreads is pretty lackluster compared to the rest.
Spread 6
The image on the left was a really detailed photo of a natural texture from some magazine. I had a lot of fun removing parts of it with black to try and f8ind the character lurking within. Right hand side is a nice mantra, presented as a sort of pattern.
Spread 7
Mash down Babylon! Like I said in the previous post, I listen to a lot of reggae. Think of Babylon as centralised corporate greed, something most Hive users will agree is the slow destruction of civilization.
Spread 8
Sarcasm. I only just noticed the spelling mistake on weird after looking at this for over a year.
Spread 9
A doodle. Initially the whole entire page was filled up with detail. To get the picture looking cool I had to remove big chunks of detail. That can be hard considering how much time is put into the excess stuff.
Spread 10
More doodling. I really like this one. It's just so psychedelic.
Spread 11
Drawing on a customs declaration form. I played around with the idea of there being a strange creature that someone is trying to bring into the island.
Thanks for checking these out! Peace.
