AMC Theatres To Accept Bitcoin as Payment!

This makes perfect sense to me! Lots of people love movies, and AMC is a hit with young investors who are also the crypto demographic.

In a next level maneuver AMC has announced at a recent earning call that it plans to accept Bitcoin as payment by the end of 2021!

I mean how awesome is that?

Sure I don't really desire to use Bitcoin as payment for anything and would rather use a faster cheaper network to transact on but still, I will be able to use crypto to go see a movie within the next year, I'm pumped.

AMC To Accept BTC, Apple & Google Pay

Also bundled in this sweet announcement from the recent quarterly earnings call from AMC is the news that the theatre chain will also allow both Apple and Google Pay.

AMC is taking crypto mainstream!

With every epic announcement like this where a mainstream company, especially one in the entertainment business with a younger demographic, announces they are incorporating crypto it's one more step towards mainstream adoption.

Accepting BTC Just The Beginning

I have to imagine that accepting Bitcoin is just the beginning of accepting more currencies!

Once the IT infrastructure is in place it would not surprise me to see additional options added, especially considering there are faster and cheaper options available.

Bitcoin is a good place to start because it has awesome name recognition and even those not well versed in crypto know basically what Bitcoin is.

Now is AMC was smart they use this pump their bags, attract business, make headlines, build infrastructure and go from there building in plans to expand in accepting other crypto.

The future is bright for crypto, got to wear shades!
