Hola amigos, hoy quiero compartir un poco de mi opinión sobre esta película que tuve la oportunidad de ver hace unos días. Until Dawn es una película basada en el juego del mismo nombre un juego de terror y de toma de decisiones que nos lleva a diferentes giros de trama, realmente yo vi este juego hace mucho tiempo en un gameplay y no recuerdo demasiado de la historia lo cual me permitió ver la película sin comparar demasiado, lo que si sen es que esta película es completamente diferente al juego en muchos aspectos pero eso no es necesariamente algo malo.
Hello friends, today I want to share a little bit of my opinion about this movie that I had the opportunity to see a few days ago. Until Dawn is a movie based on the game of the same name, a horror and decision-making game that takes us through different plot twists. I actually saw this game a long time ago in a gameplay video, and I don't remember much about the story, which allowed me to watch the movie without comparing it too much. What I can say is that this movie is completely different from the game in many ways, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
En esta opinión no busco comparar la película con el juego ya que como mencione anteriormente la trama es totalmente distinta y además tengo recuerdos muy vagos de este juego.
La película comienza con el asesinato de una chica, bastante rápido sin contexto para luego mostrarnos otra escena donde un grupo de amigos estan en busca de la hermana de una de ellas, la cual lleva desaparecida desde hace mucho tiempo, vemos el típico cliché de chicos que van a un lugar lejano solo que esta vez no es a pasar unas vacaciones sino mas bien a averiguar sobre la chica desaparecida, cuando llegan a este lugar todo se ve extraño, cosas raras comienzan a suceder y de un momento a otro la noche se vuelve una locura total.
In this review, I am not seeking to compare the film with the game, as I mentioned earlier, the plot is completely different, and I also have very vague memories of this game.
The film begins with the murder of a girl, quite quickly and without context, and then shows us another scene where a group of friends are looking for the sister of one of them, who has been missing for a long time. We see the typical cliché of kids going to a faraway place, only this time it's not to spend a vacation but rather to find out about the missing girl. When they arrive at this place, everything looks strange, weird things start to happen, and suddenly the night turns into total madness.
Rápidamente todos mueren, pero enseguida un reloj de arena de voltea y la noche se reinicia una y otra vez, mueren en varias oportunidades y en cada una de ellas se topan con criaturas mas peligrosas y extrañas, incluso mueren por tomar agua, el reto es sobrevivir una noche y llegar hasta el amanecer para poder librarse de este ciclo sin fin.
Everyone quickly dies, but then an hourglass turns over and the night restarts over and over again. They die several times, and each time they encounter more dangerous and strange creatures. They even die from drinking wáter, the challenge is to survive one night and make it until dawn in order to break free from this endless cycle.
Siento que como película de terror funciona bastante bien, de hecho, me atrevo a decir que tenia mucho tiempo sin ver una película de terror que me asustara y sorprendiera de la manera que esta lo hizo, la disfrutamos y nunca me aburrí, en varias ocasiones me hizo saltar del susto y tiene escenas bastante sangrientas y bizarras que realmente me parecen muy buenas, he visto muchas personas quejándose de esta película, supongo que son fans del juego y conocen bien la historia, eso me hizo desanimarme un poco y tardar en verla pero como siempre, nunca es bueno dejarse llevar 100% de las criticas de otras personas, a mi me gusto bastante y la volvería a ver nuevamente quizás para prestar mejor atención a ciertos detalles.
I feel that it works quite well as a horror film. In fact, I dare say that it had been a long time since I had seen a horror film that scared and surprised me the way this one did. We enjoyed it and I was never bored. It made me jump several times and has some pretty gory and bizarre scenes that I really think are very good. I've seen a lot of people complaining about this film, I guess they're fans of the game and know the story well, which made me a little discouraged and slow to see it, but as always, it's never good to be 100% swayed by other people's reviews. I liked it a lot and would watch it again, perhaps to pay closer attention to certain details.
Aunque si algún punto débil debo de buscar seria que no entendí demasiado la trama de la persona que está detrás de todos estos sucesos, al parecer hubo un accidente en una mina y de allí se desencadeno todo, además que estaban haciendo experimentos con personas, pero siento que no profundizaron demasiado en esto y quede con muchas preguntas, en algún punto llegue a pensar que yo no había entendido la película o quizás me salte algo pero mi esposo tambien tenia las mismas dudas que yo, asi que en esa parte falto dar mas detalles o quizás estén preparando una segunda película.
Although if I had to find a weak point, it would be that I didn't really understand the plot of the person behind all these events. apparently there was an accident in a mine and that's what triggered everything, plus they were conducting experiments on people, but I feel like they didn't go into much detail about this and I was left with a lot of questions. At one point, I even thought that I hadn't understood the movie or maybe I missed something, but my husband had the same doubts as me, so that part needed more details or maybe they're preparing a second movie.
La actuación de cada integrante de este grupo de amigos me pareció buena pero si con ciertos altibajos en algunas escenas, aun asi siento que me convencieron y en general fue un trabajo bueno, mucho mejor que la mayoría de películas de terror que he visto en estos últimos tiempos.
I thought each member of this group of friends performed well, although there were some ups and downs in certain scenes. Even so, I feel that they won me over and, overall, it was a good effort, much better than most of the horror films I have seen recently.
Mi calificación para esta película es 8.5/10 ya que a pesar de que la historia es algo confusa, las escenas de terror compensan un poco eso, los efectos especiales, maquillaje y demás me parecieron increíbles y muy realistas y quede con ganas de ver mas.
My rating for this film is 8.5/10 because, although the story is somewhat confusing, the horror scenes make up for it somewhat. I found the special effects, makeup, and everything else to be incredible and very realistic, and I was left wanting to see more.
