Hello splinter-bites. I hope you are winning battles out here.
Welcome to another segment of madness.
Today, I will be showing you guys one of the many insane people stuck in Bronze. Really makes me wonder how much cash they spent in this game and still stuck on bronze. This guy had one of the summoners worth $$$ and monsters that are probably $ but still he stuck in Bronze.
I fell in Bronze due to inactivity, but him…? I let you guys decide.
Battle Conditions
The mana cap was 34 and there was 3 summoners to choose from: Fire, Life, and Dragon. I chose life Frank Ruffmane. His trait provides +1 shield to all allies and allows me to deploy a bloodthirsty monster in the deck.
The battle rules are:
- Keep your distance: Monsters with melee attack may not be used in battle.
Battle Details
Let’s start off with my side.
Tank: Gargoya Devil(Ability: Flying, Close Range).
Non-Attacker: Evelyn Auvera(Ability: Immunity), Chaos Agent(Ability: Dodge).
Ranged Attacker: Zyriel(Ability: Weapon Training, Life Leech).
Magic Attacker: Captain Katie(Ability: Snipe, Bloodlust).
Now, after playing for a while in this accursed rank, I have a few things to get off my chest.
Firstly, EVERY 👏 SINGLE 👏 TIME 👏 when the enemy has a monster with flying ability, HE somehow manages to dodge ecpvery single attack from my monsters. BUT, WHEN I 👏 TRY 👏 THE SAME 👏, they alway manage to hit my monsters. Even though when I would use the same monsters it’s different people after witnessing such BULLSHIT.
That’s why, I used a monster with flying ability in the front so that it could dodge attacks and made sure it had the Close Range ability so that it could attack from the first position. I put Evelyn in the secondary position because I wanted Zyriel to reap the HP from their tank as much as possible. Behind her, I put Chaos Agent to minimise the threat should his attacker attacks me from behind. Also, I wanted both the non-attackers to receive weapon training from Zyriel, that way everyone would attack me. At the back of the deck was the bloodthirsty monster disguised as a sweet lady, Captain Katie. From there, she could attack any monster she fancied and hence more opportunity to trigger her bloodlust.
My overall damage per round would be 12, 9 from ranged attackers and 3 from Magic. If the bloodlust was triggered, it would increase each round.
Now, his side.
Summoner: Yodin Zaku(Ability: +1 Blast Damage, +1 Ranged Attack Damage, +1 HP to all friendly monsters).
Tank: Venari Marksrat(Ability: Martyr).
Ranged Attacker: Molten Ash Golem(Ability: Close Range), Lava Launcher(Ability: Close Range), Halving Alchemist(Ability: Halving), Ash Mirage(Ability: Headwinds).
His strategy was as solid as the Great Wall of China. First 2 monsters that had Close Range ability and a sacrifice(Marksrat) to buff up the Molten Ash. His Mirage would reduce my damage by half and his summoner already managed to kill half my hope with his blast damage. The halving monsters was another headache, it would reduce my monster’s(first position) damage by half. It couldn’t get any unfair.
Major Events
The round started at 11th turn. With his Mirage going first. It connected and Evelyn suffered a blast damage.
Within the next few rounds, my Gargoya was deleted and my Evelyn was at the front lines. Not once did his monsters miss their attack…
Evelyn was somehow holding up. But, I saw my sure shot defeat when I saw Katie hit Ash Molten Golem, the only monster in his deck with the highest HP. His Marksrat was still standing😭.
Within the first 8 turns, the match was as good as a dead rat, only 2 monsters left standing.
And finally, in the first 2 turns of the 3rd round, Katie was hit by Lava launcher and died instantly. Again, NONE OF HIS MONSTERS MISSED.
This was his rating, he was lower than me…
Results
From dealing with small time chumps to thousand dollar investors, here I am. Suffering at Bronze. This turned into one of those days when everybody and everything wants a piece of you, as it rips you from each ends.
In the end, my only question remains, “HOW THE HELL IS HE IN BRONZE?”
