Barquisimeto from Above and More
Hi, community! Today I want to share an experience I had been looking forward to for a long time: visiting La Flor de Venezuela in Barquisimeto! 🌆🌺
My sister and I had been wanting to visit this iconic place for a while, and taking advantage of the Holy Week break, we finally went along with our cousin and neighbor. Honestly, it was a super affordable plan (we only paid $1 for parking!) and it was totally worth it.
As soon as you enter, you’re immersed in a space full of culture and curiosities. The first thing you see is a kind of museum, with informative murals, the history of the flower, and even some aquariums with different types of fish. A pretty original and educational welcome!
As you go up the stairs, there’s a small fauna exhibition where we saw anacondas, sea turtles, and tortoises. It was unexpected but really interesting. We loved how the entire tour combines nature, culture, and architecture.
Finally, we reached the viewing deck, which was the cherry on top. From there, we enjoyed a spectacular view of Barquisimeto, with the sunset painting the sky in warm colors. That moment was simply magical—perfect for taking photos, breathing deeply, and enjoying the present.
It was a beautiful, peaceful, and unique experience—perfect to share with family or friends.

Barquisimeto desde las alturas y más ¡Hola, comunidad! Hoy quiero contarles sobre una experiencia que tenÃa tiempo esperando: ¡conocer La Flor de Venezuela en Barquisimeto! 🌆🌺 Hace mucho que mi hermana y yo tenÃamos ganas de visitar este emblemático lugar, y aprovechando los dÃas libres de Semana Santa, finalmente nos animamos y fuimos Junto a nuestro primo y vecino. La verdad es que fue un plan súper económico (¡solo pagamos $1 por el estacionamiento!) y totalmente valió la pena. Desde que entras, te sumerges en un espacio lleno de cultura y curiosidades. Lo primero que ves es como una especie de museo con murales informativos, historia sobre la flor y hasta unas peceras con diferentes tipos de peces. ¡Una bienvenida bastante original y educativa! Subiendo las escaleras te encuentras con una pequeña exposición de fauna: vimos anacondas, tortugas marinas y morrocoy Fue inesperado pero muy interesante. Nos encantó que el recorrido mezcla naturaleza, cultura y arquitectura. Finalmente, llegamos al mirador, que fue la cereza del pastel. Desde ahà pudimos disfrutar de una vista espectacular de Barquisimeto, con el atardecer tiñendo el cielo de colores cálidos. Ese momento fue simplemente mágico, perfecto para tomar fotos, respirar profundo y disfrutar del presente. Fue una experiencia hermosa, tranquila y diferente, ideal para compartir con familia o amigos.
