Today is Mayday, and it is mostly a holiday for everyone, or at least in some countries. In India, most firms make this a mandatory holiday. I was also fortunate to get the day off today. I now hold a decent amount of Hive as liquid, so I was able to power up a decent amount of Hive as part of HPUD.
In the last couple of months, I have started holding up some liquid hive to make use of the market. Whenever the market is doing good, I want to use the situation and do some trading. It would either be trading or just selling them for a good price. This is the reason why I have been holding some Hive in liquid. With the power down from my other account, it is continuously accumulating. A part of this initiative, I'm able to power up more Hive to the main account.
I have a soft goal for myself to reach 150k Hive power before the end of this year. I don't know how hard it is going to be or how easy it is going to be, but I continue to try. The amount of HP I get from the author rewards has started going down these days because the price of Hive is also very low right now. But I have already reached a point where the curation reward that I'm earning from the Existing Hive power is surpassing the Author rewards I get.
Last month, I already mentioned that I have started keeping it light when it comes to writing. If on some days I don't have time to write, I don't force myself hard, and I just leave it with the flow. Earlier, I used to be very strict that I should not miss even a single day. Even now, for consistency, I still have that as a discipline, but for genuine reasons, I'm not pushing myself very hard. The other reason can also be because I have reached a point where I don't have to be too hard on myself anymore.
I pushed some funds to HBD savings in my secondary account. That has also started generating some passive revenue in the form of interest at 15% APR. The witness rewards are also hardly covering the server cost. Since there is some HP in that account, it is also generating some curation rewards. I'm not sure about the APR, but at least it is generating some revenue. Having multiple streams is always good.
