Lagos state 2025 hive meetup was successful, it was not just a meetup but also a mini party.

After all the stress and resources that went in, I succeeded in hosting the meetup, and all who attended were very happy because they left refreshed and encouraged.

Before everyone arrived at the venue which is one of the best restaurants in Aguda surulere Lagos, I got there first, got to arrange the table and seats for everyone, and discussed with the owner of the venue, I also located where to hang my hive banner that will be visible to passersby, after that I quickly went home to change my outfit and brand myself with my hive t-shirt.

Agenda of the meetup

We had some agenda that was discussed during our meetup which made the meetup encouraging.

Consistency

Yes, consistency is a very simple word, but it's always very difficult to be consistent, and to achieve growth and success, consistency is the key.
I highlighted the reason why consistency is very important as a user, how it helps the user to not just grow but learn new things and also add value to the platform.

Consistency helps a user to see the benefits of the hive blockchain, and this will also motivate the user to encourage his friends to join the hive, it's not possible to talk about what one doesn't really understand or has not received any benefits from.

I talked about tips for consistency, which include setting realistic goals like making several comments in a day and creating original content daily.

I also highlighted the various prompts that one can find on different communities on Hive that gives an idea on what to write and thereby maintaining consistency.

I also introduced to them how to microblog through ecency waves and #inleo which involves just short original sentences or pictures, this will also help one to be consistent.

If a hiver just depends on spendhbd it might be difficult to be consistent because not everyday one have something to shop for, so there is need to do more.

Promotion on web2 platform

Lately I saw the benefit of interacting with hivers on Twitter which is also known as X, X is a web2 social media platform where you see most hivers make interesting tweets, so engagement on X is also a way to build your hive page.

Some in the audience mentioned not being a fan of X, I told them that I was the same before I saw the need to be active on X.
For instance, I was able to learn about the #hive-echo contest from X, which I often participate and earn rewards, there are still other communities that promote their contest and community activities on X, so engagement on X is beneficial for anyone who has a future goal on hive.

Tutorial on how to make videos.

Most of the hivers in attendants didn't know how to post videos on hive, so the meetup was an opportunity to teach them how to post videos through ecency if #threespeak app is not working on their devices, I also shared a tutorial link on how to upload video through ecency frontend.
Then I talked about posting not just anyhow video but quality videos that will benefit others.

Then, I allowed time for questions, and we discussed the challenges each one was facing.

Token of appreciation.

Among everyone I onboarded on my second workshop last year in November, @Kachy2022 has been the most consistent person, she has been doing so well not just in spendhbd but #hive in general, she has set realistic goals that help her remain consistent.

I decided to give her a beautiful branded gift to show my appreciation for what she had been doing, she wasn't expecting the gift, so it was a surprise, and she was very happy.

I also gifted some other users who are trying as well and they were so happy about it.

Refreshment

We spent over three hours, so there was a need for refreshments, we had a plate of beef pepper soup with a bottle of water.
After that everyone danced and danced and danced.
Pictures and videos were taken.

picture time.

Yes it cost me a whole lot of time, energy and money to make this meetup come to success but am so happy that the hivers who attended left refreshed and energized to become more active and consistent on hive and that was my goal.

Hopefully, we will be having such Meetup soon to help new ones to learn more about the hive and help grow the system.

Thank you everyone ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป.
