Effective marketing requires promotional tools, time, courage, and determination to achieve something good.
It has been a good week, yesterday I visited @graclyn for mentorship and she was curious to get discount from shopping with hbd, so we visited a listed shop where she bought somethings she wanted, paid with hbd and got discount, I also taught her how to participate in hiveecho contest which allows her to promote hive and spendhbd on her web2 platform, attracting questions from friends and families.
My goal is to help her see the need to tell more of her customers how real the hive platform is and how seamless hbd transaction is, let's have more shoppers from her end.
Promotional tools
Last week I mentioned that am working on printing flyers that will not only focus on spendhbd project but on hive in general, this is specifically for students who don't really have money to shop, but as they earn from participating in activities on hive they can be able to shop, and also currently there is no listed shop in the school environment which will also make it difficult to practice spendhbd shopping, so my focus and target is on getting active users then work on listing a shop in the school environment where I can host a workshop and show the newbies how to enjoy spend hbd.
Finally, after lots of delays due to a change in price as against what was agreed, the flyers are ready, and that makes me so happy because I am ready and fully equipped for Hive and Spendhbd Marketing.
Branding is just the best way to create awareness. Recently, the sun has always been so hot that I have to move around with an umbrella, so my next branding will be an umbrella with the Hive and spendhbd logo that everyone can see.
Onboarding new users and effective mentorship.
Yes, onboarding as many as possible is my goal, and giving effective mentorship to help them stay is another goal of mine.
I successfully onboarded more new users, and they are getting a proper mentorship from me.
One good tip I found effective is having a WhatsApp group where I pass information, so everyone learns at the same time, tho some still need some private mentorship before they can really do the basic things on Hive.
Agenda for tomorrow
Tomorrow is another Wednesday, and Wednesdays are a day for marketing at The University of Lagos State, where I have targeted to onboard as many students as possible and list businesses too.
I have already onboarded some students and am looking forward to making them become active users of Hive and spendHBD project participants.
So tomorrow we will be having a physical mentorship and also marketing to get more users.
Stay tuned by tomorrow evening I will share with you guys what we achieved, I will be assisted by my honorable partner @iquo, so wait to see how we turn the University of Lagos state to a hive center.
