Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
The Origami classes continue and we keep learning how to fold paper to get new shapes. The idea behind the classes is learning how to make everything smooth. Of course, that means we will screw a lot of the process before we get it right. There's no way around the learning curve.
So, we are learning to be patient and do things in our own rhythm. This is all bolstered by stories about the other students and ideas behind the art. Sometimes, the teacher takes a word and makes up a story to explain it. It doesn't have to be a new word, but it surely feels like active meditation.
So, here we have a heart made out of a bill. It is an interesting gift and ornament to keep around. As we go about making more and more folds, it becomes easier and we start seeing patterns that could get us to new shapes.

¡Buen día, amantes de las fotografías en blanco y negro!
Continúan las clases de origami y seguimos aprendiendo cómo doblar el papel y llegar a figuras nuevas. La idea detrás de todo esto es aparender a hacer un trabajo prolijo. Obviamente, vamos a echar a perder varios papeles antes de llegar a tener esa destreza. No hay atajos en la curva de aprendizaje.
Así que también aprendemos a ser pacientes y hacer las cosas al ritmo apropiado. Mientras estamos en esto, tenemos el apoyo del profesor con cuentos sobre sus otros estudiantes y algunas ideas detrás del arte. A veces, nos cuenta cómo aprendió algunas palabras y lo que significan. No tiene que ser una palabra nueva. Todo se siente como una forma de meditación activa.
En esta clase aprendimos a doblar un corazón a partir de un billete. Es un regalo interesante. Aunque podría servir solo de adorno. Mientras vamos haciendo más dobleces, los patrones se revelan y encontramos el camino a figuras nuevas.
