Hola to all the creative and hardworking Hivers of this amazing community @foodiesbeehive. A wonderful day to us all!

Today’s mini food adventure is at a local restaurant that offers unlimited shrimp and salmon belly strips with other side dishes such as battered chicken, Filipino fried rice noodles, and stir-fried vegetables.

My partner loves shrimp very much while I love salmon belly so going there was an easy option for us. It was also a perfect time to go there because we ran out of food in the fridge to cook. The day was a busy one for us so we thought it was just right to go there to eat the food that we were craving on that day.

Miss Sizzle was open at 5pm for dinner and glad that we arrived at the spot on time as it was not yet crowded. Their eat-all-you-can set is budget-friendly and perfect for diners who love eating shrimp and salmon belly. The restaurant has big tables with ambient lighting. It just feels laidback with informal dining atmosphere. It may not have an upscale ambiance but comfortable enough for hungry diners and food attendants were accommodating.

This food set with unlimited serving cost about 4USD per person excluding drinks. You can have a bottle of lemonade or Coke for drinks.

The restaurant was in another city but not too far from our residence yet the extra ride made us hungrier. Soon as the gas grill was set up and shrimp and salmon were served, we immediately heated it up.

My partner lightly poured oil on the griller. Grilling the shrimp and salmon belly strips only took about 5-7 minutes for both sides as they were just medium size. When the shrimp curled into letter “C” shape and the color changed from gray to pink, then we knew it was cooked. I wanted the skin part of the salmon to be a bit crunchier, so I extended cooking time for some pieces.

The salmon was fresh as observed; the skin was shiny, with mild scent, and bright orange color. The shrimp had shiny gray color and the tail and shell were intact. The staff served the shrimp and salmon when we asked for refill.

We took turns grilling. We wanted to grill everything first before we started eating.

For the side dishes, they were also unlimited so we just went to the station for refill. The battered chicken and fried noodles were seasoned well and still warm. However, the vegetable dish was a little bland but I still ate it for variation.

I went outside to check something and I took this before going back to the table. My partner was enjoying the grilled shrimp very much.

Overall, their unlimited meal was satisfying. Shrimp and salmon belly strips are expensive in the market so it was really worth it. The side dishes were good enough but I would say simple in flavor.

We went home satisfied with happy tummies. For dessert, we still had some leftover chiffon cake in ube (purple yam) flavor topped with yema (custard-like sauce) and grated cheese. It was lovely!

This is my sharing for today and thank you very much for your interest. My sincere gratitude to @foodiesbeehive for letting me share my food blog for today.
