For many people all over the world, today marks the end of the holidays for them. And I have to say, this is something that I’m really looking forward to. I guess it’s time to get back to work and resume making money. However, the holiday was quite the experience because I was able to use the free to time to catch up on some of the series that I’ve been meaning to.
For instance, I started The Last Of Us season 2 this past weekend. The second episode has been released, and I’m going to watch it today. I know that if I miss out on it today, then it will be until next Sunday because I won’t have time anymore during the week. Besides that, I also caught up on episodes of Power: Raising Kanan, something that I had not been able to do for the past few weeks.
Anyway, I guess it’s a good thing that most of the series I watch are released on weekends. They’re either released on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. That way, I would have time to watch them immediately they’re released, so I won’t get spoilers from their online communities when I decide to log into Facebook or Twitter.
But then, these past few weeks have not really been easy for me. I’ve had so much work to do, and it didn’t leave much time for me to relax and watch movies as usual. The stolen moments that I could get were either spent sleeping or running one chore or the other. Thankfully though, I’ve been able to get myself back. I’ve caught up on everything, and by the time today is over, I’ll be back to taking each day one at a time. No pressure at all.
As I mentioned yesterday, today is Galilee Day, and it is celebrated in churches all over the world. However, from the look of things, I might not be going to the event. It starts later this morning, and I know that plans can change. Maybe something would happen and I’d decide to go after all. I don’t know for sure. But keeping my fingers crossed.
So, this is a befitting end to a nice holiday. Just like with December, I decided to make a conscious effort to enjoy the holidays. Whatever holiday is coming, I’ll make sure that I enjoy it. It might not mean going to exotic places and visiting expensive sites. It might not mean spending a boatload of money or eating the fanciest foods.
It could be something as basic as chilling in my home with Netflix blasting on my smart TV, not caring about having to work. It could be spending quality time with friends and loved ones, just talking about anything and everything. This doesn’t mean that visiting exotic places and expensive sites is no way to spend holidays, it is if you can afford it.
I’m just saying that it’s not the only way. A good holiday is not based on how much you spend on it or where you go. A good holiday is what you make of it. If you have a good time, then it’s good enough.
So yeah, I’ve had a good holiday!
