It seems a curious bit of timing, the world's richest asshat starts calling attention to a certain reality TV star's connections to Jeffrey Epstein, and the next thing you know the celebrity is siccing the military on Los Angeles.
Then some protests rained on the faux king's birthday parade and before I'd even hung up my gas mask, he'd gone and started a war with Iran.
At the poker table we'd call that misdirection. Whatever you call it, it made for some busy days out in the streets.
Just like old times. Ended up being three days of protests in the span of a week, brought back memories of that long hot summer of 2020. Just less tear gas and more drones.
Some familiar faces too. Photos are a mix from all three days, was wild to watch as the turnout went from just shy of a hundred people the first day to thousands by the third.
More people turned out to protest in this deep red state than showed up to watch the strongman spectacle in DC, which is good for at least a chuckle. The mayhem and misdirection seem to be in no danger of abating, so this is likely far from the last time it gets like the bad old days.
