It seems that afer a long time Splinterlands is seeing some exicitment.
The SPS pirce is up, some assets are up etc.

The game has contiuned its development continuasly during the years and in the last period there was some significant milestones. Land 1.75, the NODES network, and now we are at the door of another card set. Also the team has obviously learned from some mistakes in the past, the cards wont be overprinted now, and DEC has a mechanics to be stable on the way up. Just a reminde for everyone that during the previous bull run there was no mechanics in place for the DEC on the upper side, leading it reaching 10x its nominal value. I mean there was a mechancis with increased printing but in short term this was not effective. Now there is a mechancis in place via SPS burns and the potential for upside is basicly transfered to SPS.

The theory here is that users will need DEC for the upcoming cards presale and that will push SPS high.

I'm feeling the excitment mysefl and I bought some decent junk of SPS a week ago and today I decided to use that SPS to buy one more licence. Licence have moved maybe just 10% in price, so it was an intersting buy. I bought it on the second market on Hive Engine for around 300 USD. The rate for brand new ones is at 5000 USD curently from the in game.

Oh, and there is three more left on the sale side, might change as price goes up.

Buying a LICENCE is a long term commitment obviously, but I'm OK with it, since I'm runing an individual node for Splinterlands myself, so this is just a bit more backup for it. Its already staked :). If you havent voted for me please consider doing so.

A reminder about the nodes trunches:

We are curently the second tranche. It costs around 500k SPS now for buying a new in game node. That SPS is burned. I bought mine on the second market for around 25k SPS. As the price of SPS increases less SPS tokens are needed for a node. Higher SPS price is pushing the APR on the nodes as well. Example at todays SPS price of around 1 cent, the APR on a node is 30%, (that is quite amazing when you consider that the probability for the asset to go up in price is quite high), but if SPS goes x10 in value the APR on the NODE will be 300%! Have a nice weekend everyone, this one turned quite a long post for a short one :)
