Hola a todos. Desde hace mucho tiempo no me sentaba a realizar un dibujo. Es algo que me encanta y me relaja demasiado, pero entre tantos asuntos no me había dado tiempo de hacerlo. El día de ayer estaba ordenando mis materiales y me dieron ganas de hacer un dibujo para desestresarme un rato y desconectarme del ruido mental.
Hello everyone. It had been a long time since I sat down to make a drawing. It’s something I love and that relaxes me deeply, but with so many things going on, I just hadn’t found the time. Yesterday, as I was organizing my materials, I felt the urge to draw to relieve some stress and disconnect from the mental noise.
Entre tantas ideas de cosas que me gustaría hacer, se me ocurrió que podría combinar en un solo dibujo varias de las fotografías que más me han gustado a lo largo de esta aventura desde que me uní a Hive. Así que puse manos a la obra, organicé los materiales que fueran necesarios y dejé fluir mi creatividad.
Among the many ideas of things I’d like to do, it occurred to me that I could combine several of the photographs I’ve loved most throughout this adventure since I joined Hive into a single drawing. So I got to work, gathered the necessary materials, and let my creativity flow.
Tenía en mente que quería reflejar el castillo y el mar de Pampatar, ya que cuando fui me dejó maravillada con tanta belleza. Así que lo primero que hice fue, con un lápiz de carbón, comenzar a esbozar la forma del castillo, así como también las palmeras que acompañan la orilla de la playa.
Además, incluí las flores de cayena en la parte inferior de la hoja, ya que hace algunos días tuve la oportunidad de observarlas tan hermosas, con gotas de lluvia que las hacían brillar, por lo que no podía dejar de colocarlas en mi dibujo.
I had in mind that I wanted to reflect the castle and the sea of Pampatar, since I was left in awe of its beauty when I visited. So the first thing I did was, with a charcoal pencil, begin to sketch the outline of the castle, as well as the palm trees that line the beach.
I also included cayenne flowers at the bottom of the page, since a few days ago I had the chance to see them looking so beautiful, with raindrops that made them sparkle, so I couldn’t leave them out of my drawing.
Seguidamente, tracé las líneas de las bellas montañas que puedo observar cada vez que voy a la universidad. Me dejaron tan impresionada aquel día que las vi de colores amarillos, que me pareció perfecto dibujarlas detrás del castillo.
Next, I traced the outlines of the lovely mountains I see every time I go to university. I was so impressed that day when I saw them in shades of yellow, that I thought it would be perfect to draw them behind the castle.
Después comenzó la parte que más me gusta: colorear todo. Primero delineé con color negro el borde de las palmeras y empecé a utilizar los tonos marrones para sus troncos, así como algunos detalles en marrón de la base del castillo.
Then came the part I love most: coloring everything. I first outlined the edges of the palm trees in black and started using brown tones for their trunks, as well as some brown details at the base of the castle.
Tomé los colores verdes de distintas tonalidades para darle vida a las hojas de las palmeras, las hojas de las cayenas, así como a la montaña, a la que luego añadí los tonos amarillos y marrones.
I picked different shades of green to bring the palm fronds, the cayenne leaves, and the mountains to life, which I later highlighted with touches of yellow and brown.
Para las flores, la más grande la coloreé con color rojo, y las más pequeñas con rosado y naranja. En el centro, toques de verde. Me encantó cómo quedó la combinación.
For the flowers, I colored the largest one in red, and the smaller ones in pink and orange. In the center, touches of green. I loved how the combination turned out.
Ya era el turno del mar, por lo que inicié con un borde de azul celeste, luego rellené todo ese espacio en blanco. Con distintos colores de azul oscuro y verde le di los detalles para que se vieran las olas.
Then it was time for the sea, so I started with a light blue border and then filled in the entire blank space. Using various tones of dark blue and green, I added details to show the waves.
Por último, con color azul pinté el cielo, y para darle un toque final tracé unas ramas en la parte superior que me hicieron recordar a las de aquel hermoso árbol que me encontré un día mientras daba un paseo por Pampatar, y me detuve un rato a observar.
Finally, I painted the sky in blue, and for a final touch, I drew some branches at the top that reminded me of that beautiful tree I once came across while strolling through Pampatar. I paused for a while just to admire it.
Me parece muy bonito el resultado. Me gustó combinar todas esas experiencias en un solo dibujo y poder pasar un rato diferente mientras plasmaba en el papel todas mis ideas. Sin duda trataré de hacerlo más a menudo. Espero que les haya gustado. Gracias por leer mi post. Hasta la próxima 💜
I think the result is very beautiful. I loved combining all those experiences into a single drawing and spending a different kind of afternoon while bringing all my ideas to life on paper. I’ll definitely try to do it more often. I hope you liked it. Thanks for reading my post. Until next time 💜
