My Newest "She Still Screams"
I've written several Zines lately.. My most recent is about a person visiting a burned down house and encountering a ghost!
I woke up sick this morning so bear with me!
The ghostly figure effect can be achieved very simply. It was broad daylight when these photos were taken, sun super bright actually..
First I used both an ND and a CPL filter. Next I set my ISO to 100.. Cranked my AP to 16.. then my shutter speed to over a second long..
While my camera was still on a tripod, I used my remote viewing app to capture my subject as they moved. This creates the ghost like effect in camera with no additional editing!
I've used this before in another set of photos. This same setup is also how you get those really pretty misty waterfall shots!
This location is on the property I live on. According to historical satellite, im pretty sure this crumbling pile of bricks was once a house not a barn.
It sits in the back far away from other structures. There is also an old pump well hidden in the tree line. The satellite history says it was still standing in 2001.
I'm curious to know what happened and why it was taken down / not upkept / repaired. There were several buildings here at one point that no longer exist.. just concrete slabs.
There are some abandoned tanker trucks in the woods on this property as well. I'm hoping to make another zine using them. What do you think?
Are these photos haunting? Hauntingly beautiful?
