Soto Ayam

Soto Ayam is a common food in Indonesia and is sold everywhere... However, each place has a different taste. So, I did not miss to taste Soto Ayam sold on Jalan Malioboro. Soto Ayam itself is a chicken soup with special spices... usually served with a mixture of bean sprouts, sliced cabbage and spring onions. In addition, it is usually added with sweet soy sauce and lime juice. Lime juice adds a fresh taste to Soto Ayam. Soto Ayam can be eaten with or without rice. For Soto Ayam on Jalan Malioboro, the taste is very authentic, better than Soto Ayam that I usually eat in Jakarta. The price is also quite cheap, for one portion of Soto Ayam with rice it only costs fifteen thousand rupiah.

Koyor Satay

Koyor Satay, this is my first time trying it. Koyor is beef fat... So, Koyor Satay means satay made from beef fat. Because it was my first time trying it, I was afraid that the taste would not suit my tongue so I ordered half Koyor Satay and half Chicken Satay. After trying it, it turned out that Koyor Satay was quite delicious. However, for those of you who are on a diet, I suggest you don't eat it. The price range is also quite cheap, one portion of Koyor Satay mixed with Chicken Satay is only twenty-five thousand rupiah or equivalent to 1.53 USD.
