Choosing a gift can be a pleasure, but often also a challenge due to lack of ideas that can spoil the event.
What does it depend on?
How and how well do you know the friend you are buying a gift for?
What is your relationship with him?
Do you have any sexual fantasies about him (in my case, herπ)?
Do you like him?
And most importantly, do you know what his wishes, needs or expectations are?
I have several friends from my earliest childhood. Five of us in total, we often surprise each other with interesting gifts, but we are not all the same, we do not all have the same income, we do not have the same taste and each of us is creative in our own way (or not creative).
As for me, when I'm choosing a gift for one of those friends, I like to think a little, put in the effort and find something that they'll be happy about.
Cosmetics, perfumes, wallets, books and bottles of quality liquor can never be a wrong choice (even for someone with whom you are not in a close relationship), but it is important that the one who chooses a gift chooses something according to the taste of the one receiving the gift.
And that's how I received an interesting drink, wallet, book or cosmetics kit from my friends.
I received a voucher for a massage treatment, and once a gift weekend at a nearby spa center...
For my birthday, I received (from my partner who is my best friend in lifeβ€οΈ) this phenomenal perfume set, as well as a new smart watch.
All beautiful and useful things.
When I choose gifts, I often choose a nice piece of accessory, an interesting drink, a book, and when I do it for one of my four friends, I sometimes also buy pieces of clothing like these):
And what would I buy you @galenkp?
Here on Hive, although we comment on each other's posts, share thoughts and opinions, and maybe I hear your name more often than names of my friends, we are not friends.
But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't make an effort to choose if I had the opportunity to buy you a present.
Because sometimes, I had to buy a gift for someone I hardly know at all.
And even then, I try to inquire about the interests of that unknown recipient of the gift. So as not to miss too much.
As for you, following you here, I found out what your hobby is, what you like to do...
Well, it seems to me that through your posts you told us perhaps more than what we hear in the world outside of Hive from some people from our everyday environment.
Buying a gift for you would probably be a little adventure for me, because precisely because I found out what your occupation is, and how dedicated you are, it would be a challenge for me to find something that you haven't bought for yourself and what don't you have? I don't know, maybe those tent ropes? π
I would certainly solve the purchase of a gift, but how to deliver it to you would be an impossible mission.
Maybe someday, if I go on a trip around the world and land on the coast of Australia, or if I decide to visit my grandfather's grave at Rookwood Cemetery near Sydney, who passed away before I was born, so I'll be "closer" π
These ropes are an old story, I believe you already have them.
I didn't notice this kind of scaling on the bumper of your SUV
so maybe something like that would be the right thing (but your off-road vehicle probably already has a winch, I just didn't notice it in the pictures).
or I would decide to buy a motorcycle helmet (or formula π).
Even though you already have it, a new one would surely make you happy.
A white helmet with a darkened visor, on the left and right side of the helmet in large red letters in diadonals written below the HIVE logo, and above the visor in black letters your name galenkp.
On the back, on the parcel, it would be written: "Get me, if you can".
(you have to imagine this, I haven't been able to get the AI ββto come up with a design solution like this, but it would be beautiful π)
And what I would like to receive from you from Australia?
Ok, I know koalas aren't an option, because it's hard to get papers to export that species, and I don't have any eucalyptus here to feed it either.
Maybe something from eucalyptus. Some alcoholic liquor?
A colleague who was in Australia brought me a toy, a small stuffed koala, so I am satisfied with that.
And you, as a hunter and a man of nature, would you perhaps buy me a piece of weapon or an authentic Australian boomerang?
I think such a gift would make me very happy and would take pride of place on the bookshelf above my TV in the living room.
When is your birthday?π
