Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Here is the original post if you want to enter a battle yourselves.

This week we are featuring the Common Neutral monster Elven Cutthroat.

Elves can be found living in many of the forests of the Splinterlands. They live in the trees, but come down often to collect resources from the forest floor. Though the elves are small and beautiful, they always have a seemingly endless supply of concealed knives, with which they are deadly accurate.

This is a really great card with some pretty cool artwork. The current value of this card is $4.

Edition: Beta Rarity: Common Element: Neutral Attack: Melee Abilities: Sneak

As you can see below this monster has some very interesting stats especially when you get to Level 4 and higher.

The Sneak ability can be very effective and I usually have a monster with this ability in all my battles. This allows a monster to attack the rear of the opponent's line up instead of the front.

When combined with a melee attack monster it can be deadly as it allows you to attack from any position instead of just the front.

Battle Info

This is a 44 mana level battle with only Water and Earth splinters allowed.

I have 6 cards in this battle against 6!

Earth vs Earth

Ruleset = Super Sneak - All Melee attack monsters have the Sneak ability allowing them to attack from any position

Battle Strategy + Line Up

My strategy for this battle is quite simple. Due to the Super Sneak ruleset there is a high chance my opponent will have extra melee attack monsters in their line up making it perfect to use Mylor Growling as my Summoner he grants the Thorns ability to all my monsters.

The Thorns ability means that when any of my monsters receive damage from a melee attack they inflict damage back on the attacker. This is quite fun too watch ๐Ÿ˜

This monster will use the Sneak ability to provide melee attack support

The Sandworm will use his Sneak attack to pick of the enemies from the rear!

Battle Walkthrough

As the warriors enter the arena we get our first look at our opponent's line up. It looks like they are using a similar strategy as the also have Mylor Croaking for a Summoner. This might be a short battle but it should be eventful!!

If you look at the numbers my opponent only has level 1 monsters and I have higher level cards so I should be triumphant!

Round 1 begins with the featured monster Elven Cutthroat being killed after attacking the enemy and becoming a victim of the Thorns ability.

My Nectar Queen then destroys the Spirit Miner and Sandworm takes out the enemies Wood Nymph which is essential!

Sadly Nectar Queen is killed by Oaken Behemoth at the start of this round.

Halfway through round 2 Sandworm kills Khymer Princess but is destroyed himself by the Thorns!

This round ends with Sorcerer destroying Unicorn Mustang.

In round 3 victory is assured when Goblin Mech obliterates the Oaken Behemoth. However he is then killed by Nectar Queen before my remaining monsters destroy it.

This was a very enjoyable battle to watch and I would use this card again in a similar line up.
