Cosmos Caldari Level 1 Missions Guide.jpg

Easy ISK with a catch. That almost anyone can do. Sometimes it is well worth hunting down those long and nearly forgotten things in Eve Online that most players just fly on by without a second thought about it.

I was not that shocked there was still a group of players going after these things. I back in the day did a couple of them and must have lost interest. These missions are not as nice and laid out as today's type of missions you would expect. They require a little hunting around and working things out. That is where this guide comes in handy.

Requirements And Tips

tips.jpg

To be able to do these there are going to be some requirements. The good news is any materials can be acquired beforehand. Some of them you can just go buy in Jita a couple of jumps away from where these missions are. While others you could go and buy the small amounts in contracts, but they are quite overpriced for something you can get yourself.

Requirements:

  • Never done the mission before

  • Caldari Standing above 0.0 (you will take faction hits to Gallente and Minmatar)

  • A frigate or cruiser fitted for combat

  • A Ship with a cargo capacity of at least 300.

  • 2674 Isogen (buy in Jita)

  • 500 Omber (buy in Jita)

  • 1 Kusan Niemenen’s Missile Launcher (acquired in farming site)

  • 5 Nugoeihuvi Dogtags (acquired in farming site)

The biggest catch to Cosmos missions is they can only be obtained once per character. That also means do not speak with any of the NPCs till you are ready to go. If you fail, you are done and can’t get those missions again once it expires.

Since these are just level 1 starter missions. They don’t require a high Caldari standing requirement like many of the other missions do. While these level 1 missions don’t reward a lot of standing. They can help and will be needed for higher-level missions beyond this first guide later.

You can use a ship bigger than a cruiser in most of the combat sites. That is quite an overkill. Also, the site that you need to farm items in has ship size restrictions below a battle cruiser.

Most of the missions are simply an item turn-in or couriered (to a system close by.) With the expectation of a couple of easy-to-run combat sites. Along with some combat to farm what was not on the market in Jita. All missions are in high sec.

If you prefer to mine for the Ore and minerals needed that is up to you. I just found it quicker to spend less than 1 million ISK to buy everything I needed at the time of writing this.

contracts.jpg

You can buy Kusan Niemenen’s Missile Launcher and five Nugoeihuvi Dogtags in contracts that players farming the local sites will place near a station to the missions. They tend to ask way too much and these items are easy to acquire.

Some players even try and sell a packaged deal. Lots of the items are needed not only for the level 1 missions but the higher levels as well. That however goes beyond this level 1 guide. Players also charge a lot for them. While these missions can be quite rewarding. I at least prefer to save some ISK and farm my stuff in most cases. Unless it’s something cheap you can buy on the market in Jita. Most of those items are for

I ended up using a station in Sakkikainen as a staging area. This is where I hauled in anything I bought like the ores. Along with anything that I had looted or been given as a reward for finished missions. This is also why I kept any ships I'd need. This location puts you nice and close to all the missions.

Never loot from the “free” cargo containers offering the supplies needed to run these missions that are placed right next to the NPCs. There tend to be people cloaked and waiting to gank you for the mission rewards you get from running these.

Farming Site

Contested Calari Lai Dai Refinery.jpg

In Airmia there is a beacon called Contested Calari Lai Dai Refinery. It will be filled with lots of frigates that drop all kinds of items that will be needed for these level 1 Cosmos missions and higher tiers as well.

You can re-enter this area as many times as needed. Everything you need drops in the main area. No need to use the gates to go to other locations. Things won’t attack you unless you get too close to a group or have already cleared the areas and have yet to leave when they spawn back in.

Drops You Are Looking For:

  • 1 Kusan Niemenen’s Missile Launcher

  • 5 Nugoeihuvi Dogtags

Optional Drops for Higher Missions:

  • 5 Propel Dynamics Dogtags

  • 3 Nugoeihuvi Rifles

  • 5 Guristas Outlaw Dogtags

  • 6 Encoded Lai Dai Reports

While you only need items under the required section. Since you are already here if you are planning to one day run the higher-level Cosmos Caldari s missions you might as well just farm for them now.

Group one drops Propel Dynamics Dogtags. Among a mix of other things sometimes.

Group two drops Kusan Niemenen’s Missile Launcher and Guristas Outlaw Dogtags. This group also has a frigate that can both web and scram you. Make sure you have decent tracking to be able to hit frigates. As once they get on top of you would be webbed and sometimes scrammed by five ships all at once.

Group three drops Encoded Lai Dai Reports, Nugoeihuvi Dogtags, and Nugoeihuvi Rifles.

This beacon site is also a public spot that anyone with the right-sized ship can warp to. There can be other players clearing it on busy days. It also respawns after a short amount of time. I could easily clear the whole thing before anything would respawns. Respawned would sometimes get aggression on me even if I was 100km out from them.

Missions

COSMOS missions.jpg

Once you have all the requirements it’s time to run the missions themselves. Unlike standard missions, you get out of stations. These are a little different. Not only do they not tell you all the needed details. The NPCs for them are in space at different locations.

A helpful tip is to always make sure you have tracked and checked when you get any of these missions. It makes it easy to warp back to the NPC beacon location for turning in and keeping track of what you need out of your staging station.

Kusan Niemenen Missions

lookin for work eve mission.jpg

At the time of writing this, the highest rewarding mission is Lookin’ For Work which has two parts to it. The NPC for it is Kusan Niemenen found in Airmia at the Station Foundation Site Beacon.

Kusan Niemenen will require having 2,674 Isogen on you to finish his first mission.

i lost my stuff.jpg

In Kusan Niemenen's second mission lost My Stuff he wanted 1 Kusan Niemenen’s Missile Launcher. Where you get the highly valuable ‘Dyad’ Co-Processor 1 blueprint with 10 runs on it.

The last mission in each chain is also you get the main faction hits or losses. If you are looking to avoid those then you should not be getting the last mission. That is however quite painful for this one as it’s the biggest reward out of all the level-one missions.

item crafting.jpg

At the time of writing this to craft ten ‘Dyad’ Co-Processor I it costs around 7 million in materials and another 770k in job costs. They were selling for around 19 million each. Perhaps the easiest 182 million ISK ever made before tax in Eve Online for low-level players once they sell. Like everything in Eve Online expect price fluctuations as people find out about these missions and then forget about them again.

For those who lack the skills required to craft the ‘Dyad’ Co-Processor 1. Work out the current costs to produce ten. Then take a further 20% off the profit from what they would sell. List your BPCs for around that amount.

The other missions at the time of writing this were not as rewarding. However, things can always change so here they are.

Matani Jitainen Missions

ore shipment.jpg

Matani Jitainen in Sakkikainen is found in the Frontier Stockade beacon. She will have three missions.

Her first mission Ore Shipment is to deliver 1k Veldspar to the system next door. She even gives you the Veldspar making this such an easy mission to do.

A little more for my friends.jpg

Her second mission is A Little More For My Friends which has you delivering 400 Omber. Hopefully, you already have enough at your staging station making this yet another quick mission.

The storyline reward item from this mission tends to be worth a couple of million (5-8 million ISK at the time of writing this). Not bad and more than covers any small costs you had.

killing some drones.jpg

Her final mission is to take out some low-level drones. You can do this in a frigate with no issues. I used a slightly bigger ship since they are allowed on the site. The drones did 75% EM and 25% thermal damage. While being weak to EM.

The storyline Small ‘Settler’ Shield Boost was only worth about 1 million at the time. Gaining some faction was my main goal in running this one.

Ryuki Sakkaro

turn in dog tags.jpg

Ryuki Sakkaro is found in Ishisomo at the NOH Recruitment Center. Not that rewarding but only two missions to run for some faction gains. She is also not the only NPC there for level 1. In some instances, you can complete missions for both Ryuki Sakkaro and Hansu Turu before having to return to NOH Recruitment Center to get the next set of missions.

After turning in the Nugoeihuvi Dogtags. She gives you a second courier mission to go drop off some rifles. The bonus reward contains a blueprint. It has quite a short time limit on it to get it. Don’t get caught up trying to do multiple missions at once.

Hansu Turu Missions

proving ones loyalty.jpg

Hansu Turu can be found in Ishisomo at the NOH Recruitment Center. She has three missions as well. Not that rewarding but most need the small faction gains.

Proving One's Loyalty missions is a bit odd as while the rifles do drop. You for this mission don’t need to farm them for the first mission. It's just a simple courier mission that takes almost no time to finish.

killing some pirates.jpg

For her second mission, you just need to warp out to a location she gives and kill some “pirates.” They deal 60% thermal and 40% kinetic damage. While being rather weak to thermal and kinetic. Like all the rest of the combat in these level 1 missions they are easy to take out.

Despite them saying they are Caldari you do not take any faction standing with the Caldair. They are pirates. You do not take any faction hits with Caldari.

These pirates do drop Drifter Spur and Bandit Spur. While you don’t need these for any of the level one missions. You will need quite a few in higher-level missions if you ever take those on. So, you might as well go ahead and loot them.

some quick profit.jpg

Her final mission was another simple courier that was a system away. You get a 10-run ‘Balefire’ Rocket Launcher blueprint from this one. While it’s not worth a lot. They are also cheap to make. Being around 10% cost to make to make and sell for around 1 million ISK. Not amazing but since there are multiple ways of getting this blueprint it makes sense the price at this point.

Final Thoughts

end.jpg

Great to see a few items were worth a decent chunk of ISK. As the mission, ISK payouts were not that rewarding. At least these were all quite short to run if you come prepared beforehand. Along with the low requirements to do them. They made for some rather simple ISK once you understand what is going on and where to go.

Overall, quite a fun little thing to bump into again. I’m kind of glad I did not do them all back in the day when they were new. If only I could recall what ones I've already done. At least it was none of these easy ones.
