Como les comenté en post anteriores, mandamos a fabricar una mesa para poder dictar las clases y esta era de madera.
Algo importante era encontrar algo con que protegerla pues mi experiencia ya me enseñó que suelen ensuciarse MUCHÍSIMO durante las clases y la verdad no quería que se perdiera ese aspecto tan bonito y pulcro con el que llegó.
La primera clase que di fue de pintura y fue todo un reto para no mancharla. Aún así me las ingenié para que esto no ocurriera jaja eso se los comparto luego en un post.
Pero definitivamente no podía seguir pasando por eso, así que el segundo día de clases me fui un poco más temprano para ir a la tienda El Castillo para comprar un plástico para protegerla.
As I told you in previous posts, we had a table made to be able to teach the classes and it was made of wood.
Something important was to find something to protect it because my experience taught me that they tend to get VERY dirty during the classes and I really didn't want it to lose that nice and neat look it came with.
The first class I taught was painting and it was a challenge not to stain it. I still managed to keep it from happening haha I'll share that later in a post.
But I definitely couldn't keep going through that, so the second day of class I left a little early to go to the El Castillo store to buy some plastic to protect it.
El sol siempre me acompaña cuando me toca ir a trabajar porque salgo casi siempre en horas del medio día. Ya me he ido acostumbrando a esta rutina la verdad.
The sun always accompanies me when I have to go to work because I go out almost always in the middle of the day. I've gotten used to this routine.
Llegué directo al Castillo, mi segunda casa jajaja, me fui directo hasta el área donde están los plásticos protectores.
La verdad no tenía ni idea de cual sería el ideal, así que me fui con la mente abierta para ver que conseguía.
Habían muchos estampados, pero como yo quería que se notara el lindo color de la mesa, opté por uno transparente. Habían de varios grosores, yo escogí uno que fuera fino pero resistente.
I went straight to the castle, my second home hahaha, I went straight to the area where the protective plastics are.
The truth is I had no idea which one would be ideal, so I went with an open mind to see what I could get.
There were many patterns, but since I wanted the nice color of the table to show through, I opted for a transparent one. They came in various thicknesses, I chose one that was thin but sturdy.
La mesa tiene un largo de 2 metros por 120 cm de ancho. Por suerte la tela medía 135 de ancho (creo jajaja), así que era al medida justa.
Pedí 2 metros y 1/4 de largo para tener un sobrante a lo largo también y con eso poderla ajustar.
La chica midió y cortó el plástico y ya luego me tocaba ir a pagar. El proceso fue bastante rápido la verdad.
The table is 2 meters long and 120 cm wide. Luckily the fabric was 135 wide (I think hahaha), so it was just the right size.
I asked for 2 meters and 1/4 length to have a surplus along the length and with that I could adjust it.
The girl measured and cut the plastic and then I had to go to pay. The process was quite fast, to be honest.
Por suerte no había fila para pagar y todo fue rápido. Luego me fui al área de despacho y me entregaron mi nuevo mantel. ♥
Luckily there was no line to pay and everything went quickly. Then I went to the dispatch area and was handed my new tablecloth. ♥
Al llegar al local acomodé todo para colocarle el nuevo plástico y fijarlo.
La verdad es que amo la mesa, es tal cual la imaginé y es súper cómoda. Se que gracias a ella lograré cumplir esos objetivos y metas que me he planteado, por eso debo cuidarla mucho. Comprar este mantel es una forma de hacerlo.
When I arrived at the store, I arranged everything to put the new plastic on it and fix it.
The truth is that I love the table, it is just as I imagined it and it is super comfortable. I know that thanks to it I will achieve those objectives and goals that I have set for myself, so I must take good care of it. Buying this tablecloth is a way to do it.
Ahora venía la hora de la verdad, probar si el largo servía, porque aunque sabía las medidas de la mesa no la medí para comprobarlo.
Por suerte quedó perfecto, así que me dediqué a pegarla con cinta plástica, algo provisional para poderlo retirar cuando quisiera para lavarlo o cualquier cosa.
Now came the moment of truth, to test if the length worked, because although I knew the measurements of the table I didn't measure it to check it.
Luckily it was perfect, so I stuck it with plastic tape, something provisional to be able to remove it when I wanted to wash it or whatever.
Y así pasamos de una mesa sin protección a una preparada para cualquier desafío artístico. Quedé super contenta con este avance, que aunque parece pequeño representa mucho ♥
