Ayer me prometí que iría el día de hoy a hacer una de las últimas compras escolares, ya que el inicio de clases es el próximo lunes y aún estamos "crudos" en este asunto de los útiles que necesitará mi hijo en este nuevo año.
Así que a pesar de que me acosté a las 2 de la mañana, me desperté a las 6 y 30 para responder los comentarios de mi blog, comer, arreglarme y estar lista a las 8 para salir de casa. En esta travesía me acompañaría mi hijo.
La hora era s úper importante porque debíamos llegar antes de la 1 de la tarde, porque debía entregar la llave de la academia donde comenzaré a trabajar dentro de poco.
Íbamos a ir a Ciudad Ojeda porque habían varias cositas que quería investigar y los precios son más económicos allá. Una vez llegamos nos dirigimos directamente a "El Castillo" una tienda textil que cuenta en la segunda planta con una mercería donde también se consiguen artículos escolares.
Yesterday I promised myself that I would go today to do one of the last school shopping, as the start of school is next Monday and we are still "raw" on this matter of the supplies my son will need in this new year.
So even though I went to bed at 2am, I woke up at 6.30am to answer the comments on my blog, eat, get ready and be ready to leave the house at 8am. On this journey I would be accompanied by my son.
The time was very important because we had to arrive before 1pm, because I had to deliver the key to the academy where I will start working soon.
We were going to go to Ciudad Ojeda because there were several things I wanted to investigate and the prices are cheaper there. Once we arrived, we went directly to "El Castillo", a textile shop with a haberdashery on the first floor where you can also find school supplies.
Primero lo primero, debíamos asegurar la franela que íbamos a comprar. Cómo lo comenté en post anteriores a mi particularmente me gusta comprarle a mi hijo una franela fresca para asistir a clases.
Aunque las chemise son muy bonitas, prefiero comprarle una de cuello redondo ya que en su colegio no hay aires acondicionados y nosotros tenemos un clima súper caluroso.
En esta tienda venden franelas de todos los colores y a un excelente precio. Yo espero a la próxima poder comprar dos en diferentes colores.
Una vez la encontramos ahora sí podía explorar un poco más tranquila por los pasillos.
First things first, we had to secure the flannel we were going to buy. As I mentioned in previous posts I particularly like to buy my son a cool flannel to wear to school.
Although the chemises are very nice, I prefer to buy him one with a round neck as his school doesn't have air conditioning and we have a very hot climate.
In this shop they sell flannels in all colours and at a great price. I hope next time I can buy two in different colours.
Once we found it, I could now explore the aisles a bit more relaxed.
Debía investigar el precio de algunos materiales que se utilizarán en la academia. Le tomé foto a lo que pude para luego discutir con mi compañera cuáles serían los ideales según su costo.
También escogí 3 colores de hilos para mis manualidades. Mi hijo mientas caminaba por los pasillos observando todo.
I had to research the price of some of the materials to be used at the academy. I took pictures of what I could and then discussed with my partner which ones would be ideal according to their cost.
I also chose 3 colours of yarn for my crafts. My son was walking through the aisles looking at everything.
Y luego de escoger lo que llevaría me puse a hacer la fila para pagar. Fue algo bien rápido y una vez se hizo el pago salimos de la mercería.
And after choosing what I was going to take, I started to queue up to pay. It was very quick and once the payment was done we left the haberdashery.
Pero antes de salir de la tienda recordé que debía comprar tela para hacer unos pañitos para mi cocina. Así que pedí la tela y me fui al piso de abajo donde se hacía el pago.
Luego uno debe pasar por una sección donde están varias chicas verificando las facturas y luego solicitan por micrófono el pedido a las chicas del piso superior.
But before I left the shop I remembered that I had to buy some cloth to make some wipes for my kitchen. So I ordered the cloth and went downstairs where the payment was made.
Then you have to go through a section where there are several girls checking the invoices and then they ask the girls upstairs for the order over the microphone.
Estuvimos que esperar un largo rato por que al parecer la chica no había cortado mi tela. Y luego de preguntar y de investigar por fin apareció.
Este es solo el inicio de la salida, en otros post les contaré el resto de las actividades que hicimos en el día.

We had to wait a long time because apparently the girl hadn't cut my cloth. And after asking and investigating she finally showed up.
