Debo confesar que teníamos muchas ganas de conocer este lugar desde que llegamos pero viajar con un bebé no es fácil, por lo que nuestros mejores planes eran en la piscina del hotel, en el hotel y en la playa, aún así ya que estaba mi amiga Vanessa @bluevibes allí por una noche, decidimos ir un rato con ella y su pareja para compartir juntos allí y les cuento que la pasamos increíble.

I must confess that we really wanted to know this place since we arrived but traveling with a baby is not easy, so our best plans were at the hotel pool, at the hotel and at the beach, even so since my friend Vanessa @bluevibes was there for a night, we decided to go for a while with her and her partner to share together there and I tell you that we had an amazing time.
Así que para ir allí, Pawel, Olivia y yo tomamos un uber desde nuestro hotel (Hotel las Américas, que por cierto se los recomiendo mucho) y les cuento que llegamos rápido, tal vez unos 13 minutos aproximadamente, y si mal no recuerdo el conductor nos dejó justo ahí enfrente de la Iglesia de la Santisima Trinidad (esa de color amarillo). Al llegar, tuvimos que esperar por muy poco tiempo a Vane y a Fer quienes todavía venían en camino y mientras esperabamos pudimos observar un poco alrededor, lo primero es que es un lugar con mucha vida de noche (no sé si de día también) y segundo que hay muchos vendedores de comida callejera.
So to go there, Pawel, Olivia and I took an uber from our hotel (Hotel Las Americas, which by the way I highly recommend) and I tell you that we arrived quickly, maybe about 13 minutes approximately, and if I remember correctly the driver left us right there in front of the Church of the Holy Trinity (the yellow one). When we arrived, we had to wait for a very short time for Vane and Fer who were still on their way and while we were waiting we could observe a little bit around, the first thing is that it is a place with a lot of life at night (I don't know if during the day too) and secondly that there are many street food vendors.
Una vez llegaron Vane y Fer nos fuimos a explorar el sitio y por supuesto a hacer varias fotos para mostrarles este lugar increíble donde vimos muchos bares, restaurantes, escuchamos música, y por supuesto también vimos mucho arte urbano pero realmente es arte de calidad (como pueden ver en algunas de las fotos), pero también vimos muchas calles hermosas llenas de luces, colores y algunas flores. Luego de ver un poco allí, se nos ocurrió buscar un lugar para tomar unos cocteles, y encontramos un lugar genial que es esa acera con un mural con el nombre del Barrio Getsemaní.
Once Vane and Fer arrived we went to explore the place and of course to take several pictures to show you this amazing place where we saw many bars, restaurants, listened to music, and of course we also saw a lot of urban art but it is really quality art (as you can see in some of the pictures), but we also saw many beautiful streets full of lights, colors and some flowers. After seeing a bit there, it occurred to us to look for a place to have some cocktails, and we found a great place which is that sidewalk with a mural with the name of Barrio Getsemaní.
Los cocteles en el lugar nos parecieron muy buenos y además tenían buen precio, allí pudimos conversar un poco todos, y algunas veces Pawel o yo nos levantabamos a caminar a Olivia por allí para entrenerla ya que saben que a esa edad no se pueden quedar quietos mucho tiempo, pero eso estuvo bien tanto como para nosotros como para nuestros amigos. Luego de los cocteles seguimos paseando un poco más por allí, como ven es un lugar donde venden muchas cosas, recuerdos, helados también, y por cierto al igual que en la Calle Amurallada también hay muchos vendedores ambulantes, lo cual no nos parece mal pero luego de muchos ofreciendote cosas ya llega un punto en el que es molesto, aún así todos intentamos ser muy amables.
The cocktails in the place were very good and also had a good price, there we could talk a little bit, and sometimes Pawel or I got up to walk Olivia around there to entertain her since they know that at that age they can not stay still for long, but that was good for us and for our friends. After the cocktails we continued walking around a little more, as you can see it is a place where they sell many things, souvenirs, ice cream too, and by the way as in the Walled Street there are also many street vendors, which we don't think is bad but after many offering you things it gets to a point where it is annoying, even so we all try to be very friendly.
Como ven, había mucha gente y muchas banderitas de colores colgando, ah y la típica y genial calle con sombrillas que a mi me encanta, tambíen estaba la calle con la bandera de muchos paises y nos pareció el lugar perfecto para hacernos una foto las 3 chicas, es decir, Vane, Olivia y yo y luego los chicos fueron a una tienda para comprar unas bebidas y después de eso llegó la hora de volver, aunque nos hubiese encantado quedarnos más tiempo allí pero Olivia necesitaba dormir, aunque sin duda les digo que el Barrio Getsemaní es un lugar increíble que no puedes dejar de conocer si vas a Cartagena, nosotros la pasamos increíble allí pero llegó nuestro uber que nos recogió justo enfrente del parque Centenario para llevarnos de vuelva al hotel.
