Slowly taking profits

I have been accumulating Crypto in small bits since 2017. I have made some good calls and some bad ones and have lived through a bull and bear cycle. I am starting to feel like I am getting the hang of this.

This is my second bull run and I would like to think I learnt a thing or two. I am now doing what I did not do in the first ICO craze as I got caught up in the FOMO.

I am taking profits on the way up.

My whole portfolio has gone 10X in value since last year. It is slowly starting to look like life-changing money.

I told myself I would start folding some into stable coins when my total paper value was around 7x but could not bring myself to do it. I am doing so now.

  • A few weeks back I sold part of an altcoin position that did a 50x to buy myself a car as I got a new job and really needed the car that was needed to look decent and would fit the dog and her transport cage.
  • Today MANA went up by a nice amount and since I got into the token at 0.08 I thought it was a nice time. I took out double the money I put in and am letting the rest ride.

My guesstimate is that BTC is going to 70k ish before pulling back so I am selling a bit more alts in part to build up a stablecoin position (in USDC)

This is my financial advice to you all

I know we should not tell people what to do but this is just a general rule that so many people forget when they see their paper wealth skyrocket.

Do not let fomo take a grip on you and lose your focus. Take some profits along the way even if that means you might take a bit less potential profit.

Those stablecoins earn you a nice 10% these days and that was not possible in 2017-18.

The cool thing here is that this strategy will also give me some dry powder to take advantage of those dips that we all know are coming.

Selling LEO AND HIVE

I might even commit the ultimate sacrilege and sell some LEO and HIVE (just a very small amount mind you). I like the projects and have been here since 2017 but I feel I have to be consequent in my strategy even if I really like the place and the people.

So, now you all give me a massive upvote anyway :-)
