This tutorial explains in detail how range and armor stats work. Range is very important because it determines if you can attack your opponent directly and secure victory by sending their core energy(HP) to zero, according to the first win condition.
It also determines your degree of freedom in attacking opponents on the board.
Armor is kinda like extra energy for mechs that can't be destroyed. You need 1 might higher than the armor number to touch your enemy mech's energy.Armor doesn't reduce per attack, except with some debuffs.
Effect type determines how the effect works. Entry means it happens immediately it enters the field. Passive means it's always active so far it's on the field. This gigachad-icken for example has both effects. As you play, you'll find a variety of effect types.
