Hello photo and travel lovers,
Here is a nother part of the bunkers around the town of Hellevoetsluis. This is the main complex that was build on the outer side of the fortification. This was meant to give direct cover against enemy's. Now it's a nice green park and sometimes these bunkers are open for public. Many of them are not in use any more.

This was the main bunker part. Ore the head bunker. I don't know how you call that. now a day's there are work places in there. You can rent a space for workshops of dancing ore music lessons. it's a nice creative hub for all the people who life here.
thise houses are looking over the bunker complex. they have a very nice view.
With a view on the town.
I want to go in here. I am very curious how it looks in side and see how the soldiers lived here.
All around this place are these little poles in front of the different bunkers. there they explain what type it was and where they used it for. This is a lookout post that was build on top of the subterranean bunkers. the entrance was facing the town and the other side was the pen field.
this is a fire pit for the locals. if you want to hang out here, you can make a nice campfire.
And if you reached the top, this is the view over the Haringvliet lake and the Lighthouse of Hellevoetsluis. It's a round, white, brick lighthouse with two floors and a height of 18.1 meters. The tower was designed by Jan Valk and built in 1822 by K. van Golverdingen. The tower is located at the harbor entrance of Hellevoetsluis and lies on the Haringvliet.
And the exit of this part of the bunkers is next to the windmil.
It's build in the year 1801 and it is a grain mill that still works. On open mill and museum days it can be visited.
