Another event I had over the weekend was the final casting for the Señorita Crepuscular beauty pageant. Luckily, the two events I had to attend were held in the same shopping center. The casting took place on the fourth floor of Ciudad Crepuscular, in a closed area, to select the finalists for the beauty pageant.
This pageant was held in the region a few years ago, but when the Codiv epidemic broke out, it was put on hold. The organizer moved to Caracas, where he organized other contests and did other work, and this year he decided to relaunch the contest in the city.
After preliminary auditions and a tour of other municipalities in the state, on Sunday, June 1, the contestants were summoned for a final round of questions with the jury and to be assigned their sashes.
Otra pauta de evento que tuve durante el fin de semana fue el casting final para el certamen de belleza Señorita Crepuscular. Por suerte, los dos eventos a los que tenía que asistir se celebraban en el mismo centro comercial. El casting tuvo lugar en la cuarta planta de Ciudad Crepuscular, en una zona cerrada, para seleccionar a las finalistas del certamen de belleza.
Este certamen se celebró hace unos años en la región, pero cuando se ocurrio l apeidemia de Codiv, se hizo una pausa. El organizador se mudó a Caracas, donde organizaba otros concursos y realizaba otros trabajos, y este año decidió relanzar el concurso en la ciudad.
Tras las audiciones preliminares y una gira por otros municipios del estado, el domingo 1 de junio se convocó a las concursantes para una ronda final de preguntas con el jurado y para asignarles sus bandas.
The sponsoring brands provided music and snacks to liven up the casting. The event featured several sponsoring brands. The venue was comfortable and well lit for photography. Several digital media outlets collaborated to cover the details of the casting.
Entertainment was provided by Luisana Suárez, a model and artist from the region. Overall production was handled by Grizman Sira and his organizing team. The jury began to arrive and take their seats to evaluate the contestants. The jury is composed of various personalities from the region and other beauty pageant queens.
Las marcas patrocinadoras se encargaron de amenizar el casting con música y aperitivos para disfrutar. El evento contó con varias marcas patrocinadoras. El lugar era cómodo y estaba bien iluminado para la fotografía. Varios medios digitales colaboraron para cubrir los detalles del casting.
El entretenimiento corrió a cargo de Luisana Suárez, modelo y artista de la región. La producción general estuvo a cargo de Grizman Sira y su equipo organizador. El jurado comenzó a llegar y a tomar asiento para evaluar a las concursantes. El jurado está compuesto por diferentes personalidades de la región y otras reinas de concursos de belleza.

The girls got ready to go out, each one to walk the runway. Some of them clearly had experience at other modeling agencies and walked with ease. Others were just starting out. It didn't matter; they would all receive training in all aspects so they could compete on equal terms.
Each one stopped in front of the jury, who began to ask them questions. That part makes many of them nervous; it's difficult to answer some questions, as they focus on every detail and have to do it in front of so many people. All of this is part of the preparation process, seeing their strengths and weaknesses and starting to work on improving.
While there was a break for the jury to meet to determine each contestant's scores and chat with them, the moment was used to take photos.
Las chicas se prepararon para salir, cada una para desfilar por la pasarela. Algunas de ellas tenían claramente experiencia en otras agencias de modelos y caminaban con soltura. Otras acababan de empezar. No importaba; todas recibirían formación en todos los aspectos para poder competir en igualdad de condiciones.
Cada una se detuvo frente al jurado, que comenzó a hacerles preguntas. Esa parte pone nerviosas a muchas de ellas; es difícil responder a algunas preguntas, ya que se fijan en cada detalle y tienen que hacerlo delante de tanta gente. Todo esto forma parte del proceso de preparación, ver sus puntos débiles y fuertes y empezar a trabajar para mejorar.
Mientras había un descanso para que el jurado se reuniera para determinar las puntuaciones de cada concursante y charlar con ellas, se aprovechó el momento para hacer fotos.

At the end, they were assigned the sashes representing the municipalities they would represent in the contest: Crespo, Iribarren, Palavenico, Moran, etc. Each one was called up and given her sash.
All those selected were congratulated, they posed for the cameras, and now they have to start many activities and work hard to prepare to win. One of the prizes for whoever is chosen as Miss Crepuscular is $300 in cash, which is quite a lot in this country.

En la parte final, se les asignaron las bandas con los municipios que cada una representaría en el concurso. Crespo, Iribarren, Palavenico, Moran, etc. Se llamó a cada una y se le entregó su banda.
Se felicitó a todas las seleccionadas, posaron para las cámaras y ahora tienen que empezar muchas actividades y trabajar duro para prepararse para ganar. Uno de los premios para quien sea elegida Señorita Crepuscular es de 300 dólares en efectivo, lo cual es bastante en este país.
