Greetings friend's! I bring to you the highlights of our successful first hive meet-up in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Five major key points were highlighted and discussed during the meet-up. They are;
● Consistency
● Engagement
● Micro blogging
● Video content
● Setting goals
So the discussion started accordingly with the first being CONSISTENCY. Emphasis was placed on the importance of being consistent on #hive and benefiting from it after a few years. Some notable hivers were used as examples, as to what one can achieve by being consistent on hive. One can only see that HIVE is actually a rewarding journey to embark on when there's consistency.
The second point was about ENGAGEMENT. Our local guide @beauty197 stressed the need for engaging on the platform. Taking out time to read other people's posts, commenting and even supporting them is one way to appreciate others and the sweet side of it is that, it makes us more visible to other hivers in the communities. So, engagement on hive is one way to grow on the ecosystem.
The third on the list was about MICRO BLOGGING. This is especially important for Lagos hivers who have limited time to spend creating content. Within a few minutes, they can engage in micro blogging through #ecencywaves, #leothreads and other frontends that offers micro blogging. Instead of being inactive on hive, with just few words they can do something interesting and interactive through micro blogging, which will also help build them up.
The fourth point is VBLOG. This is also another fun way to create contents on #hive. Some people find it difficult to sit and type. They can be more expressive when creating content through videos. This is even made easier as videos can easily be uploaded now through #ecency and of course #threespeak.
The fifth and last on my list is very important because it fuels other points pre-mentioned. How so? If one does not have any long-term goals on hive, it will be difficult to achieve all that was mentioned. Lagos hivers was encouraged to set goals they would love to achieve and work hard towards it.
The meet-up was to enlighten us and encourage us not to give up easily. To look out for each other and help others grow by sharing information that would be of help to others.
Hivers can also engage in various ongoing #contest on hive. They could easily shop through #spendhbd and earn cashback from #distriator. There are many ways to stay active on hive. They just have to be ready to spare #hive some amount of time, which could be a few minutes or hours, as their circumstances permit.
We were five that made it to the meet-up @iquo, @ozibaby, @happy080, @emiliashley338 and my humble self @kachy2022 (i didn't include our local guide since it was organized by her but plus her @beauty197 then we totalled six) other's couldn't make it due to challenges but I'm sure they wouldn't want to miss the next one.
