So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “ETHICS AND MORALS”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “SKIPPED MY MIND”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community telling us about the time that they forgot something major that they had to do, and it ended up ruining their day and changing things drastically for them. Forgetting from time to time is something that happens to everyone, and once in a while, we can forget something that will have major consequences.
We got to see the effects of forgetfulness and how members were able to bounce back from that one mistake. Appropriate steps were taken to ensure that such a thing was never forgotten again, and we have all been more careful. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w168e1 tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. And so, the posts that will be featured not just for their exceptional content, but also for their level of engagement with other authors, will be listed below.
HOW FORGETFULNESS ALMOST COST ME MY HOME AND FINANCES by @manclar
This author told us about the different instances where he had to deal with being forgetful. He’s had some issues with cooking and forgetting it on fire, leading to threats of fire and fear for his safety. He also shared about the time he almost lost his debit card because he forgot about it. However, he has taken steps to make sure that it doesn’t repeat itself.
For this author, he told us that from time to time, he finds himself forgetting about important incidents and remembering them only when it’s too late. From missing his girlfriend’s performance to missing his best friend’s wedding, where he was the best man. He has had a lot to deal with with regards to being forgetful.

For this author, she told us about how she got carried away with everything that she was doing for that day, and somehow forgot that she had a client that she had to see. She only remembered it when a lot of time had passed, however, she was able to smooth it all out with them and put in measures to ensure that it didn’t repeat itself.
