3 Seasons of Using XBOT in the Wild Format: Results and Evaluations
It's time to start a new test in Survival Mode!
On Splinterlands my favorite game format is Modern Format because in this format there are no bots and it is not possible to use battle helpers and because I have fun only if I play with human players like me.
Before the release of the Arcana Conclave set I was playing with two accounts in the Modern Format.
Season 158 was the last season in which it was possible to use Chaos Legion cards in Modern Format and in the next two tables you can see the financial results of my dual playing in Modern Format with my two accounts.

After the release of the new set of cards I decided to change strategy and in seasons 159, 160 and 161 I played:
- in the Modern Format with @libertycrypto27 (my main account) -> Cards
- in the Wild Format with @libertygame27 (my curation account for SPT tokens) -> Cards.
In this post I share my financial results and my evaluations after 3 seasons using XBOT in the Wild Format.
In the seasons 159 and 160 I delegated 50K SPS to libertygame27 while in season 161 I increased the delegation from 50K SPS to 70K SPS.
Based on the current market value of the HIVE token, the SPS token (Highest Bid) and the DEC token (Lowest Ask) I calculated the financial results I achieved by playing 3 seasons in the Wild Format.
In season 159 the wild pass was deactivated and the financial results were positive: +1.82$
In season 160 the wild pass was reactivated and the financial results were negative: -0.30$
In season 161 the financial results were positive although the profit was very small: +0.30

The final results of my test in Wild Format were interesting but not exciting financially because:
- my Wild cards collection consisting of 198 cards = 20202 BCX = 461080 CP = $1224.21 (Market Prices) with 50K-70K SPS staked produced a total profit of only +1.82$ in three seasons.

The only positive aspect of my Wild Format test was the GLINT accumulation that allowed me to make progress in upgrading soulbound Rebellion Reward cards.
In the last completed season, season 161, I earned $0.30 = 41.82 SPS = 333.22 DEC.
In season 161 XBOT fees (73.09 SPS) were higher than my profit: $0.30 = 41.82 SPS.
Today I can conclude my test in Wild Format after having had yet another confirmation of the fact that:
- in my opinion the Wild Format + Wild Pass + Rotation Mechanism is a wrong solution or at least not optimal because, while it eliminates bot-farms (positive effect), on the other hand it also penalizes human players and above all it disincentivizes the purchase of wild cards but also modern cards because they are all cards with limited time of human use in Ranked Play because after two rotations they come out of the Modern Format which is the only really fun format because there are no bots.
I will no longer play in the Wild Format!
I will only return to play in the Wild Format if one of these conditions occurs:
- bots will be banned
- the Wild Pass will be removed
I will continue to play and have fun in the Modern Format.
With my Wild cards yesterday I started a new test in Survival Mode.
For the duration of the current season, season 162, I will use my Wild cards to play only in Survival Mode and will use XBOT which I have configured to play only in this format.
In the first session of play in Survival Mode Xbot played 50 battles and got 48 wins advancing 3 tiers.
Xbot takes 20% of the gains in SPS but, when used in Survival Mode, does not show the gain in its Sessions section.
In order to have data to analyze in my test, I disabled the automatic claim of SPS rewards earned in battles.
I will only make the claim at the end of the season and that way I can easily check how many SPS I earned in Survival Mode during season 162.
At the end of the season I will choose whether to continue playing in this format with my wild cards or opt to rent or sell my wild cards.
My current and personal evaluations about the various game modes in Ranked Play are:
- Modern Format: yes please! Fun format and also profitable for me. No bots = fun and human skill play!
- Wild Format: no thanks! Unfun format because it is the realm of bots. In Wild Format, with less than 50K SPS staked and with a limited card collection the probability of ending seasons with a negative financial result is very high.
- Survival Mode: To make an assessment I will wait until the end of my testing in the current season. I really like the idea behind this game mode but the presence of bots makes this format (potentially very fun) similar to an idle game and therefore unfun and unskillful because a bot takes care of the game...
I will end this post by showing my last two battles won, my last battle won in Modern Format and my last battle won in Wild Format to show the difference in SPS gain in different leagues and with a different SPS boost.

E' tempo di iniziare un nuovo test nel Survival Mode
Su Splinterlands il mio formato di gioco preferito è il Modern Format perchè in questo formato non ci sono bots e battle helpers e perchè mi diverto solo se gioco con giocatori umani come me.
Prima del rilascio del set Conclave Arcana giocavo con due accounts nel Modern Format.

Dopo il rilascio del nuovo set di carte ho deciso di cambiare strategia e nelle stagioni 159, 160 e 161 ho giocato:
- nel Modern Format con @libertycrypto27 (il mio account principale) -> Cards
- nel Wild Format con @libertygame27 (il mio curation account per i token SPT) -> Cards.
In questo post condivido i miei risultati finanziari dopo 3 stagioni utilizzando XBOT nel Wild Format.
Nelle stagioni 159 e 160 ho delegato 50K SPS mentre nella stagione 161 ho aumentato la delega da 50K SPS a 70K SPS.
In base al valore di mercato attuale del token HIVE, del token SPS (Highest Bid) e del token DEC (Lowest Ask) ho calcolato i risultati finanziari che ho ottenuto giocando 3 stagioni nel Wild Format.
Nella stagione 159 è stato disattivato il wild pass e i risultati finanziari sono stati positivi: +1.82$
Nella stagione 160 è stato riattivato il wild pass e i risultati finanziari sono stati negativi: -0.30$
Nella stagione 161 i risultati finanziari sono stati positivi anche se il profitto è stato molto piccolo: +0.30

I risultati finali del mio test nel Wild Format non sono stati entusiasmanti perchè:

L'unico aspetto positivo del mio test nel Wild Format è stato l'accumulo dei GLINT che mi ha permesso di fare passi in avanti nell'upgrade delle carte Rebellion Reward soulbound.
Nell'ultima stagione conclusa, la stagione 161, ho guadagnato 0.30$ = 41.82 SPS = 333.22 DEC.
Le XBOT fees (73.09 SPS) sono state superiori al mio profitto: 0.30$ = 41.82 SPS.
Posso concludere il mio test nel Wild Format dopo aver avuto l'ennesima conferma del fatto che:
- il Wild Format + Wild Pass + Meccanismo di rotazione è una soluzione sbagliata o almeno non ottimale perchè, se da un lato elimina le bot-farms, dall'altro lato penalizza anche i giocatori umani e soprattutto disincentiva l'acquisto delle wild cards ma anche delle modern cards perchè sono tutte carte a tempo limitato di utilizzo umano perchè dopo due rotazioni escono dal Modern Format che è l'unico formato veramente divertente perchè non ci sono i bots.
Ritornerò a giocare nel Wild Format solo se si verifica una di queste condizioni:
- saranno vietati i bots
- sarà rimosso il Wild Pass
Continuerò a giocare e divertirmi nel Modern Format.
Con le mie Wild cards ieri ho iniziato un nuovo test nel Survival Mode.
Per tutta la durata della stagione in corso, la stagione 162, utilizzerò le mie Wild cards per giocare solo nel Survival Mode e utilizzerò XBOT che ho configurato per giocare solo in questo formato.
Nella prima sessione di gioco nel Survival Mode Xbot ha giocato 50 battaglie e ha ottenuto 48 vittorie avanzando di 3 tiers.
Xbot prende il 20% dei guadagni in SPS ma non mostra il guadagno nella sezione Sessions.
Per avere dati da analizzare nel mio test ho disabilitato il claim automatico delle ricompense in SPS guadagnate nelle battaglie.
Farò il claim solo alla fine della stagione e in questo modo potrò verificare facilmente quanti SPS ho guadagnato nel Survival Mode durante la stagione 162.
Alla fine della stagione sceglierò se continuare a giocare in questo formato con le mie wild cards oppure se optare per il noleggio o la vendita delle mie Wild cards.
Le mie attuali e personali valutazioni sulle varie modalità di gioco nel Ranked Play sono:
- Modern Format: si grazie! Formato divertente e anche profittevole per me
- Wild Format: no grazie! Formato poco divertente perchè è il regno dei bots. Nel Wild Format, con meno di 50K SPS staked e con una collezione di carte limitata è altissima la probabilità di chiudere le stagioni con un risultato finanziario negativo.
- Survival Mode: Per esprimere una valutazione aspetterò la fine del mio test nella stagione in corso. Mi piace molto l'idea alla base di questa modalità di gioco ma la presenza dei bots rende questo formato potenzialmente molto divertente un idle game e quindi poco divertente e poco skill game perchè a giocare ci pensa un bot...
Concludo questo post mostrando le mie ultime due battaglie vinte, la mia ultima battaglia vinta nel Modern Format e la mia ultima battaglia vinta nel Wild Format per mostrare la differenza di guadagno in SPS in leghe diverse e con un quantitativo di SPS staked diverso.
