Splinterlands Recent and Interesting News: Custom Challenges, New Contests Rules, Inleo Partnership
Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain based game and in addition to playing the game, I also really enjoy writing content on my Hive blog about my gaming activities, strategies, and news regarding the Splinterverse.
The topic of my post today is about three interesting and recent news regarding Splinterlands.
The Custom Challenges
On January 7, 2025, Splinterlands introduced an interesting new feature: the Custom Challenges.
This new feature can be accessed from the Play section of Splinterlands by clicking on CHALLENGE.
Through Custom Challenges it is possible to create a fully customized game battle to challenge another player.
In the creation of a custom challenge you can:

choose the player to challenge
-
choose which cards to use
-
choose summoner level caps
-
choose the mana cap
-
choose rulesets
-
choose the elements
Simple challenges where you can choose opponent, allowed cards and summoner level caps are always free.
Custom challenges are free for players who have 50K SPS staked or 1 RUNI.
Custom challenges cost 10 DEC or 10 Credits for players who do not have RUNI and have less than 50K SPS staked.
I really like this feature because being able to choose from so many options increases the fun when challenging a friend or another player.
Also in my opinion it is very useful to be able to try all the cards when there are precise rulesets and under precise circumstances.
Custom challenges are an especially useful element for explaining and trying the game to a new player who needs help or to a friend who doesn't know Splinterlands.
New Rules for participation in Splinterlands contests
Another interesting news regards the contests organized by Splinterlands.
If you have read the post Splinterlands Art Contest Week 329! New Rules! you already know the new rules. If you haven't read it I will update you on these rules that will be introduced in all future weekly contests organized by Splinterlands.

Splinterlands contests provide an important incentive for Splinterlands players to:

learn about the social side of Hive

post content on Hive
Participating in the Splinterlands contests is also an opportunity to be rewarded with an upvote from the accounts steemmonsters, sps.dao, and ybapmatt, which are accounts that have a lot of HP and support contest participants.

Voting for posts participating in Splinterlands contests is done through manual curation by curators who are also Splinterlands players.
In the previous contest rules, a propensity for staking HIVE tokens was not required.
With the implementation of the new rules, propensity for staking HIVE tokens will be an important element in receiving an upvote.
I personally consider these new rules fair, logical, and useful for the future of the Hive ecosystem.
I consider these new rules fair and logical because Splinterlands and Hive have a very close relationship with each other and this relationship has become even closer after the Hive community supported the Splinterlands DHF proposal.
Hive is a Delegate Proof of Stake (DPOS) blockchain and staking is an important element and propensity to staking is an objective indicator of an account's interest in Hive.
If you are an account that participates in Splinterlands contests only to receive an upvote that you want to monetize 100% by taking it out of the Hive ecosystem you are unlikely to receive support from Splinterlands with the new rules although there is always time to change behavior and start having medium to long term growth goals on Hive.

New partnership between Splinterlands and Inleo.
Another recent and interesting news is the partnership between Inleo and Splinterlands.
With this partnership, SPS tokens are integrated into Inleo and increase their use cases.

To celebrate this partnership, a tournament will also be organized where all players will be able to compete on equal level because they will have equal decks.
After more than 5 years since my first battle on Splinterlands I enjoy playing regularly every day and I conclude this post of mine by showing my last battle played in the Modern Format which is the only format in which, in my opinion, beats the heart (the fun gameplay) of Splinterlands and in which human players like me have fun!

Splinterlands è il mio gioco blockchain preferito e oltre a giocare mi piace molto anche scrivere contenuti sul mio Hive blog che riguardano la mia attività di gioco, le mie strategie e le novità che riguardano lo Splinterverse.
L'argomento del mio post di oggi riguarda tre interessanti novità che riguardano Splinterlands.
Le Custom Challenges
Il 7 gennaio 2025 Splinterlands ha introdotto una nuova interessante novità: le Custom Challenges.
Questa nuova funzionalità è accessibile dalla sezione Play di Splinterlands cliccando su CHALLENGE.
Tramite le Custom Challenges è possibile creare una Challenge completamente personalizzata per sfidare un altro giocatore.
Nella creazione di una custom challenge è possibile:

scegliere il giocatore da sfidare

scegliere il summoner level caps

scegliere il mana cap

Le custom challenges hanno un costo di 10 DEC o 10 Credits per i giocatori che non hanno RUNI e hanno meno di 50K SPS staked.
Mi piace molto questa funzionalità perchè poter scegliere tra tante opzioni aumenta il divertimento quando si sfida un amico o un altro giocatore.
Inoltre secondo me è molto utile poter provare tutte le carte in presenza di precise rulesets e in presenza di precise circostanze.
Le custom challenges sono un elemento particolarmente utile per spiegare e far provare il gioco ad un nuovo giocatore che ha bisogno di aiuto o ad un amico che non conosce Splinterlands.
Nuove Regole per la partecipazione ai contest di Splinterlands
Un'altra interessante novità riguarda i contest organizzati da Splinterlands.

Con l'applicazione delle nuove regole la propensione allo staking dei token HIVE sarà un elemento importante per ricevere un voto.
Personalmente considero queste nuove regole giuste, logiche e utili per il futuro dell'ecosistema di Hive.
Considero queste nuove regole giuste e logiche perchè Splinterlands e Hive hanno una relazione molto stretta tra di loro e questa relazione è diventata ancora più stretta dopo che la comunità di Hive ha supportato la Splinterlands DHF proposal.
Hive è una Delegate Proof of Stake (DPOS) blockchain e lo stake è un elemento importante e la propensione allo staking è un indicatore oggettivo dell'interesse che un account ha per Hive.
Se sei un account che partecipa ai contest di Splinterlands solo per ricevere un upvote da monetizzare al 100% portandolo fuori dall'ecosistema di Hive difficilmente con le nuove regole riceverai supporto da Splinterlands anche se sei sempre in tempo per cambiare comportamento e per iniziare ad avere obiettivi di crescita di medio lungo termine su Hive.

Nuova partnership tra Splinterlands e Inleo
Un'altra recente e interessante novità riguarda la partnership tra Inleo e Splinterlands.
Con questa partnership i token SPS sono integrati in Inleo e aumentano i loro casi d'uso.

Per festeggiare questa partnership sarà organizzato anche un torneo in cui tutti i giocatori potranno competere alla pari perchè avranno decks uguali.
Dopo più di 5 anni dalla mia prima battaglia su Splinterlands mi diverto a giocare regolarmente ogni giorno e concludo questo mio post mostrando la mia ultima battaglia giocata nel Modern Format che è l'unico formato in cui, secondo me, batte il cuore (il divertente gameplay) di Splinterlands e in cui i giocatori umani come me si divertono!
