Woolio is one of the most adorable characters in the Holozing universe. With its sheep-like charm, gentle nature, and radiant sunflower theme, Woolio evokes a sense of warmth and innocence that I wanted to capture and reinterpret in a new light. Imagining this character as a sweet child in a field of sunflowers gave me a sense of joy, and that feeling guided every stroke of my pen.
Woolio es uno de los personajes más adorables del universo de Holozing. Con su ternura ovina, su naturaleza amable y su temática radiante de girasoles, Woolio transmite una calidez e inocencia que quise capturar y reinterpretar desde una nueva perspectiva. Imaginar al personaje como una niña dulce en un campo de girasoles me llenó de alegría, y ese sentimiento me acompañó en cada trazo que di.
The character in the illustration is a chibi-style girl with features inspired by Woolio’s fluffy essence. Her hair is voluminous and golden, mimicking wool with a soft gradient of warm colors. She wears a headband adorned with two big sunflowers that match the ones blooming in the background, referencing Woolio’s iconic design.
La personaje en la ilustración es una niña en estilo chibi con rasgos inspirados en la esencia esponjosa de Woolio. Su cabello es voluminoso y dorado, imitando la lana con un suave degradado de colores cálidos. Lleva una diadema adornada con dos grandes girasoles que hacen juego con los que florecen en el fondo, haciendo referencia directa al diseño icónico de Woolio.
Her dress is a bright sunflower yellow with a cute bow at the chest and small flowers stitched around the hem, echoing the gentle and floral theme. She also carries a round little backpack that adds a playful touch. Her eyes are wide and sparkly, full of innocence and wonder, capturing Woolio’s sweet personality.
Su vestido es de un amarillo brillante como el girasol, con un lindo lazo en el pecho y pequeñas flores bordadas en el dobladillo, reforzando la temática floral y tierna. También lleva una pequeña mochila redonda que añade un toque juguetón. Sus ojos son grandes y brillantes, llenos de inocencia y asombro, capturando la dulce personalidad de Woolio.
Process / Proceso
The journey began with a digital sketch. I imagined the composition and began outlining the character with soft, rounded shapes to maintain that cute chibi appeal. I paid special attention to proportions, making the head slightly larger and the limbs tiny to emphasize the childlike charm.
El viaje comenzó con un boceto digital. Imaginé la composición y empecé a trazar el personaje con formas suaves y redondeadas para conservar ese atractivo estilo chibi. Presté especial atención a las proporciones, haciendo la cabeza un poco más grande y las extremidades pequeñas para enfatizar el encanto infantil.
Next came the lineart. I used clean, flowing lines to define the character’s outline, refining every detail like the sunflower petals, the frills on the dress, and the expression on her face. This part was all about bringing clarity and definition to the idea that was taking shape.
Luego vino el delineado. Utilicé líneas limpias y fluidas para definir el contorno del personaje, refinando cada detalle como los pétalos de girasol, los volantes del vestido y la expresión de su rostro. Esta parte se enfocó en darle claridad y definición a la idea que estaba tomando forma.
Coloring was a joyful step. I chose a warm palette dominated by yellows, oranges, and browns to reflect Woolio’s sunny theme. Her hair, eyes, and dress all harmonize in this cozy color scheme, reinforcing the sweet and gentle atmosphere.
El coloreado fue una etapa muy alegre. Elegí una paleta cálida dominada por amarillos, naranjas y marrones para reflejar la temática soleada de Woolio. Su cabello, ojos y vestido armonizan en esta gama de colores acogedora, reforzando la atmósfera dulce y tierna.
Adding shadows brought the piece to life. I placed soft shadows around her dress, hair, and shoes to create depth while keeping everything light and cute. It gave the character volume without losing her delicate charm.
Añadir las sombras le dio vida a la obra. Coloqué sombras suaves alrededor del vestido, el cabello y los zapatos para crear profundidad sin perder la ligereza del diseño. Esto le dio volumen al personaje manteniendo su encanto delicado.
Highlights were the sparkles that made her truly shine. I placed small gleams in her eyes, hair strands, and even on the sunflowers to give the whole piece a magical touch. It made the scene more vibrant and joyful.
Los brillos fueron los destellos que hicieron que brillara de verdad. Coloqué pequeños reflejos en sus ojos, en mechones del cabello y hasta en los girasoles para darle a toda la escena un toque mágico. Eso hizo que todo se sintiera más vibrante y alegre.
Finally, the background. I painted a dreamy field full of sunflowers under a bright sky with fluffy clouds. The warm lighting emphasizes her presence, making her feel like a glowing little spirit of the field. It was the perfect finishing touch.
Finalmente, el fondo. Pinté un campo onírico lleno de girasoles bajo un cielo brillante con nubes esponjosas. La luz cálida resalta su presencia, haciéndola sentir como un pequeño espíritu resplandeciente del campo. Fue el toque final perfecto.

This artwork was a delightful experience from start to finish. Woolio’s gentle and heartwarming essence inspired me to explore a softer, brighter side of my artistic style. I hope this fan art brings a smile to your face, just like it did to mine while creating it.
