True Happiness Comes from Anyone Who Gives Something with a Heart, Expects Nothing to Return, Doing Best for the Benefits of All
-@lovinglymers
Hello, my dear Hivers! Welcome to my blog! I hope you're doing fine today! Join me, at this very moment as I tell you about my very productive day.
It's normal for a family that we have to do some important household chores every weekend. As a working Mom like me, who is so busy doing schoolwork, from Monday to Friday, the best time doing household chores is only Saturday and Sunday.
Washing Time
It was Saturday morning, and I heard a report from CEBECO II that a power interruption was scheduled from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the following day, which was Sunday.
So, I made my plan to wash our clothes right after breakfast for I had an Alumni meeting scheduled at 1:30 PM at school
Washing the Clothes
I washed first our school uniforms, before the others. The fragrance of the soap penetrated the clothes mixing with the fresh air marking the end of my laundry work.
Looking at my younger daughter in the corner, scratching her hair, and feeling so puzzled with her work, invited my attention. She begged me to help with her assignment.
Tutoring Time
It was about problem-solving in Mathematics. I found out that her assignment was somewhat difficult, and she needed further explanation. It involved three fundamental operations and she needed some examples of how to solve the problems.
Working on School Assignment
She finished her assignment at 9:30 a.m. Since I have still time to do other activities, I went outside to visit my plants.
Catching the sight of an attractive flower and its sweet fragrance aroused me to come nearer.
Cultivating Time
I found out that the soil of some of my plants in the pots needs to be loosened. The roots of plants need more air and water, so it's better to check them from time to time to avoid soil compaction.
Loosening the Soil
I used a hand trowel to loosen the soil and put fertilizer around the plants. After loosening the soil my attention turned to the green grasses fully grown in the ground that invited me to trim its leaves.
Mowing Time
It was a perfect time to use a mower since it was cloudy. The sun was covered by thick clouds. It seemed that his charm rested in a soft huge cotton, so I couldn't feel his sweltering heat. All I felt was the fresh air touching my warm body and whistling my ears sweetly. I remembered my lawn mower bought 2 months ago online. I was so interested in buying that item because aside from its price which is affordable, it is also handy, perfect for a woman like me to use compared to other mowers that are so expensive and so heavy.
Using our Lawn Mower
That lawn mower was paid online, amounting to Php 1,590.00. I was interested in buying it because it is rechargeable, unlike others we need to consume gasoline. Before, I spent Php 600.00 every month to pay somebody to mow our ground but for now, no more. I stopped mowing at 10:30 a.m.
Going to School
Thinking about our Alumni Meeting, I decided to go to school earlier. I went to school to prepare everything. I planned to prepare lunch for my co-teachers and snacks for the PTA and Alumni Officers Meeting.
Preparation Time for Lunch
I told my school guard to buy something for lunch. He bought meat, fish, rice, and others. One of my co-teachers helped me to prepare the food and so with our utility worker.
Preparing for Lunch
We grilled the pork and also the fish. We made also Seaweed Salad "Guso" in the Visayan dialect. We cooked also fish with horseradish soup "malunggay" in the Philippines. The smell of the foods aroused our appetite to fill our empty stomachs.
Lunch Time
Lunch with My Co-Teachers
I sent messages to our co-teachers to dine with us during our lunch but only a few of them arrived, others had valid reasons why they were not able to come at lunch. We ate together in our simple dishes. Although it's simple it filled too much satisfaction to our hungry stomach. The hot soup of fish with a "Malunggay" awakened our hunger. The sour taste of seaweed salad displayed our facial expressions. Some teachers arrived at 1:00 p.m. They were ready for the meeting.
Since our Alumni Treasurer had other concerns, she was not able to come at 1:30 p.m. We were waiting for her until she arrived for she had an important role in our association. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)by profession and the one who prepared the documents for SEC registration.
Meeting Time
Meeting with our Co-Teachers PTA and Alumni Officers
We started our meeting at 2:00 PM, upon the arrival of our Alumni Treasurer. Our venue was held at our Home Economics Building (HE) since we were all accommodated there.
The meeting began with a prayer and to be followed by the words of welcome given by yours truly. My heart was so overwhelmed upon welcoming them. I was so grateful for their presence despite their distance in coming to school and for their hectic schedule, they were able to find time to attend the said meeting.
After delivering my welcome remarks, it was followed by the checking of attendance done by our Alumni Secretary. She acknowledged the presence of the participants. Only a few of the Alumni Officers and PTA Officers were absent during the meeting.
Presentation of the Proposed Project
The moment we were waiting for, was the Statement of Purpose and the Presentation of the Proposed Project which is the " Construction of School Multi-Purpose Hall" by our Alumni President. He discussed the importance of collaboration for the accomplishment of the said project. He presented the picture of the proposed project made by the architect.
Picture forwarded by the Architect
The project will serve as our "School's Activity Center", which we have been dreaming of for so long. It will serve also as an Evacuation Center and for other purposes. Everyone showed a willingness to collaborate for the realization of the said project. Our Alumni Treasurer suggested that we need to open an account in the bank for transparency.
Creation of Committees
Different committees were created. We had a Committee on Finance, Ways and Means, Committee on Health, and many others.
Distribution of Snacks
While we were having an "Open Forum".We distributed snacks.
Snacks during the meeting
Their smiling faces showed that they were delighted and contented with their snacks.
Adjournment
Saying "Thank you"," Goodbye", and" Take care "were the last magic words we uttered to end our meeting. It was indeed a very successful meeting at all! We adjourned at exactly 5:00 p.m.
Reflections
Looking back on all the activities I have done for that day, is truly a very fruitful one. The accomplishment of my laundry work, tutoring my daughter, cultivating the soil around the plants, mowing the grasses, preparing lunch for my co-teachers, and preparing snacks for the meeting are my achievements for that day that made me feel better.
Most of all the meeting with my co-teachers, PTA, and Alumni Officers gave us hope and inspiration to fulfil our longing dream.
Working with supportive and collaborative people encouraged me to give anything without expecting any returns and to do my best for the benefit of all.
My dear Hivers, I would like to park here. Hopefully, you can spend time to read my blog and learn something from it. Thank you so much! See you on my next blog! Bye for now! God bless!
