I was going to write a post on Hive today .
About Hive.
It was a breakdown (you know, math and facts), of why it made no sense to downvote posts.
I was going to breakdown how much had been taken off my upvotes in the last 8 months, and how - if you are business minded (no ideological slant in this whatsoever) - why it makes NO financial sense to downvote.
Using myself as the example - Say $12 a day (in my case) - for 8 months - lets say 34 weeks to keep it simple - That works out at around $2,800 , approx.
I've made back approximately $1,250 of that back so far - through other means (sock accounts on hive, subscription's off hive on my blog.... blah, blah). It's a lot more work, but I'm getting there...
I'm a tiny account. 'The powers that be' (or think they are, bless)... detest me posting my stuff. Tough shit - this is the blockchain.
IF this is not some intelligence agency controlled experiment (there are verifiable connections) - and instead, purely a business -then the downvoting on my accounts makes zero business sense.
I've had a few businesses before I retired - ALL of them , were people centric concerns.
Believe it or, not, I can be a real 'people person'!
(if I wasn't , these businesses would have gone 'tits up' very quickly - not made handsome profits)
IF this Hive blockchain is not some shady scam set up - and purely a business - then the downvoting on my accounts makes zero business sense.

Hive has paid me $3,600 (by downvoting me) , to talk about Hive in a negative light, and spread the word...
I WILL make my lemonade from the very bitter lemons that have been thrown at me by the hive cabal .
They cannot stop me, on or off hive - and if that means I recompense myself via ' rewards' for showcasing Hive in a negative light, no problem.

Have these people ever actually moved away from their keyboards and communicated in the real world , with real people?

If reputation is not important ('because they're clever'...or something) to your business, I'd posit that they don't have a single fucking clue what they're doing.
If it's ideologically motivated (which I think a lot of it is), then your'e fucked anyway. You're on the wrong side of history. Backing Technocracy is a losing bet. You won't be able to 'spin your way' out of this position- The ideological bent is one that seems more and more obvious.
That's the short version - I won't bother breaking it down and go into detail.
The long version explains how many *hundreds of thousand of dollars profit, are wiped out, by just a ONE CENT drop in token price.
So if I had any effect and it caused a one cent drop in price...
**....then the hundreds of thousands of dollars would be wiped off the value.... This then makes 'the taking of my legitimately earned $3600*', a bit of a fucking brain dead, stupid exercise, doesn't it?
While it can be argued that I wouldn't have such an effect, I'd say you know nothing about the power of negative reputation - and you certainly don't know anything about my talent in that regard. Thinking along the lines of 'a small account, with very little visibility online' is a valid (if incorrect) take on things.

This account is larger in terms of following , than the whole of hive itself !

From a business enterprise perspective - the logic of down voting all my posts was nil. (bad reputation, loss of hundreds of thousands of dollar via the potential token price etc.)

We're gonna have to come up with a another word to describe the level of mega stupid that is going on in the higher echelons of Hive.
