Hello Splinter Lovers,
The Chaos Empire has fallen and a revolution has sparked because the monsters of Conclave Arcana are emerging into the land of splinters. Yes, after waiting for a long time, the next core card set is finally preparing for its arrival in Splinterlands and literally the whole Hive chain has made this news the new talk of the town. This will be the 6th core card-set launch in this game, following the Rebellion edition cards and just like all of you, I am also very much interested in this upcoming card series and gladly, I have also participated in the presale and now eagerly waiting for my packs and rewards to arrive. The presale is currently live now and since its launch, already over a whooping 120k booster packs have been sold in these last 3 days. I think this new edition card set will break all the previous records that Splinterlands has made in earlier pre-sales, because the team has worked diligently on these edition cards, from their aesthetics to new mechanisms in gameplay. So, it's expected that the game is about to change totally after the Conclave Arcana cards started appearing in the battle arena. In this post, I will be talking deep about this ongoing presale, my participation and also about my strategy. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.
The CA Presale
The Conclave Arcana presale started on 22nd April and it will be live until May 11th, or even earlier in case all the remaining packs get sold. Now, there’s a possibility for this presale to end sooner than its deadline, mainly because of the rewards that are being given out to presale investors. Though Splinterlands has eliminated any bonus packs or using of vouchers to get a rebate while purchasing in presale, they have loaded the presale with a gigantic rewards - including 2 brand new ultra rare promo cards, new exotic and rare Black and Archon foil type cards, titles etc for top buyers in leaderboard and also a raffle full of exciting and rare cards, which will be randomly given to investors using the raffle draw. Now, all these rewards along with the new mechanisms in the game are increasing the hype with CA on a whole new level and many people, including me, have already purchased packs in this ore-sale event and some are even creating groups to chase the leaderboard prizes. Overall, it's a total chaos in Splinterlands right now and if you are not engaging, you are missing both the fun and the chance to win cool rewards.
NEW BOOSTER PACKS
Moving on, let us first take a look into the presale packs of Conclave Arcana cardset and I have to admit, Splinterlands has really thought deep about their packs and realised that people are bored seeing the same old booster pack and thus, they have created total 4 different types of booster packs as stated below.
- Standard packs - Costs 4$ per pack, total 500k packs in presale
- Alchemy Pack - Costs 12$ per pack, total 100k packs in presale.
- Legendary Pack - Costs 24$ per pack, total 50k packs in presale
- Starter pack - Costs 1$ per pack (not available in presale)
Now, while the standard packs still work with the same old principle of 5 cards with at least 1 card of rare or higher rarity, the other newly introduced packs are the main attraction of this edition. With the legendary packs, there will same 5 cards but one of them will be a guaranteed Legendary card and on the other hand, Alchemy packs also give the same 5 cards with at least one card being rare or higher rarity, but additionally, it will also give one guarantee gold foil card in each pack. Lastly, the Starter packs, which will contain the same 5 cards but only common and rare rarity cards, will be there in Standard packs. Moreover, they will not be available for sale in the presale event and will be available in the general sale.
Now, for my participation, I also formed a group with one of my Hive friends and bought a total of 834 Alchemy packs in the presale that cost us 10,008,000 DEC. Both of us have a 50% share in this presale buy pool and we will divide any items in even numbers and decide to sell the single items and divide the profit equally.
Promo Cards
Now talking about presale rewards for CA, the first rewards that investors would get, depending on their investment amount, are the 2 new promo cards that are launching with the CA edition. One of them is a rare card and the other one is a legendary card. As per the rule, for every 40k dec invested in presale, you would get 1 guarantee rare promo card and for every 400k dec invested in the presale, you will get a guarantee copy of the legendary promo. Also, for every 25 guarantee promo cards of each type, the 25th promo card will be turned into gold foil. Well, there are a lot of guarantees and this thing in particular sparked the first interest in me to join the presale, because who would pass on guaranteed rewards? Anyway, for our purchase, we will be getting 240 Regular foil Rare Promo cards, 10 Gold foil Rare promo cards, 24 Regular foil Legendary Promo cards and 1 Gold foil Legendary Promo card.
Leaderboard Rewards
Moving on, let's now take a look at the leaderboard rewards and as you can see, leaderboard rewards are also guaranteed if you can hold a position until the presale end. First, the top 6 prizes are literally status changing, including designing your own archon card and getting max-level BF, GF and RF copies of that card, a legendary title, max black foil rare promo card and 1 BCX GF Legendary promo card. Next, the next group of top 7 - 20 positions will also receive head-spinning rewards, including a legendary title, a Max BF Rare promo card and 1 BCX GF Legendary card. Then the top 21 - 30 position holders will receive the same legendary title and 1 BCX GF card of each promo monster. Next, 31 - 100 top positions will earn themselves an epic title and 1 BCX GF Rare promo card and lastly, 101 - 250 place holders will get the honorary Rare title.
Now for us, we pushed ourselves to our last limit and managed to invest a total of 10 million and 8 thousand DEC together, which has earned us the 20th position on the leaderboard, but I am pretty sure we will soon be out of top 20 as more people buys in the presale and the inly way to protect our thrones are to invest even more.
Mega Raffle
Lastly, Splinterlands has also arranged another big pouch of super rare cards, which they will be distributing to the presale investors randomly via a Raffle. There are a total of 71 prizes, including some of the rest cards in the game, to be won in the raffle and unlike the other reward options, in this one, Luck will play a big factor. For every 1000 dec or credits worth of purchase in the presale, you will be given 1 raffle ticket. After the presale ends, on the release date of CA, 13th May, the raffle will take place and those lucky ones who win from the raffle will be delivered immediately.
