Very good morning my dear readers of #hive, happy Monday for everyone, happy start of the week and I hope you have enjoyed your weekend, and that like me you have been able to rest and recharge; for those who do not know me yet, well I introduce myself, I am Manuel and it is a pleasure for me to have you here on my art blog. In this opportunity I wanted to start my week bringing you a work which I had left in the middle of the week due to work issues, but on Saturday morning I could take a little time to finish it, it is an illustration related to the game #holozing and more specifically with the underwater theme; in this case I decided to draw the Ocean Healer in a more marine explorer facet, knowing the species that live there, when suddenly a small Walle HoloMax approaches her, and just behind them taking care of the little creature would be her mother, a big one (Waller HoloMax):
Muy buenos días mis queridos lectoras y lectoras de #hive, feliz lunes para todos, feliz inicio de semana y espero que hayan disfrutado su fin de semana, y que al igual que yo hayan podido descansar y recargar; para los que aun no me conocen, pues me presento, yo soy Manuel y es un placer para mi tenerlos por aquí por mi blog de arte. En este oportunidad quise empezar mi semana trayéndoles una obra la cual había dejado a la mitad la semana que paso por cuestiones de trabajo, pero que el sábado en la mañana pude sacar un tiempillo para culminarla, se trata de una ilustración relacionada con el juego #holozing y más concretamente con la temática submarina; en esta caso decidí dibujar a la Sanadora del Océano en una faceta más de exploradora marina, conociendo las especies que allí habitan, cuando de repente se acerca a ella una pequeña Walle HoloMax, y justo detrás de ellas cuidándola a la pequeña criatura se encontraría su madre, una gran (Waller HoloMax):
PROCESS / PROCESO
I created the sketch of the Healer right in the center of my canvas, I drew her raising her right hand as if she was trying to touch the little creature (Walle HoloMax) that is approaching her, and just behind in the background I created the mother (Waller HoloMax). For the process of the coloring I started with the Healer, I tried to use a palette of colors a little opaque intermediate since the characters would be under the water, then with a soft brush I was giving the texture to the skin first and softening it a little; then when I finished with the skin I moved to the section of the eyes, here I decided to use a palette of more ascending bluish tones to achieve a quite tender look for the Healer. In the case of the hair I opted for a much more elongated and smooth hairstyle than the original ocean healer, I used a little darker blue marine tones to form the structure of the hair, and with a 3 tips brush I was in charge of texturizing the locks and leave hair moving through the water.
Cree el boceto de la Sanadora justo en el centro de mi lienzo, la dibuje levantando su mano derecha como si buscara tocar a la pequeña criatura (Walle HoloMax) que se acerca a ella, y justo atrás en el fondo cree a la madre (Waller HoloMax). Para el proceso de correado empecé con la Sanadora, trate de usar una paleta de colores un poco opaca intermedia puesto que los personajes estarían bajo el agua, entonces con un pincel suave fui dándoles la textura a la piel primero y suavizándola un poco; luego al terminar con la piel me pase al apartado de los ojos, aquí decidí usar una paleta de tonos más azulados ascendentes para lograr una mirada bastante tierna para la Sanadora. En el caso del cabello opte por un peinado muchos mas alargado y liso que como originalmente tiene la sanadora del océano, use unos tonos azules marinos un poco mas oscuros para formar la estructura del pelo, y con un pincel de 3 puntas me encargue de texturizar los mechones y dejar cabello moviéndose por el agua.
For the 2nd stage I was in charge of shaping the Healer's clothes, in this case I wanted her to wear a kind of underwater diving suit or something like that, for this I took a navy blue tone as a base and I was in charge of forming a rough fabric texture, for this I used a couple of sai brushes and created a kind of diagonal pattern all over the suit; and at the end to give a good finish to the suit I took the watercolor brush and formed some lines of superficial shine all over the suit. In the face I decided to add to the Healer a kind of item or diving device to breathe underwater, here I used many pale colors, white and gray and the idea is that it resembles a mask; then with blue tones I created 2 small cylinders on the sides of the mask which would be the oxygen containers.
Para la 2da etapa me encargue de darle forma a la ropa de la Sanadora, en este caso quise que llevase una especie de traje submarino de buceo o algo por el estilo, para esto tome un tono azul marino como base y me encargue de formar una textura de tela rugosa, para esto use un par de pinceles de sai y cree una especie de patrón diagonal por todo el traje; ya al final para darle un buen acabado al traje tome el pincel acuarela y forme algunas líneas de brillo superficial por todo el traje. En el rostro decidí agregarle a la Sanadora una especie de item o dispositivo de buceo para respirar debajo del agua, aquí use muchos colores pálidos, blancos y grises y la idea es que se asemejara a una mascarilla; luego con tonos azules cree 2 pequeños cilindros a los lados de la mascarilla los cuales sería los contenedores de oxígeno.
In the 3rd stage I was in charge of creating the 2 marine creatures, in this case I used a palette of colors quite similar since the creatures are of the same species, first I was in charge of giving form to the small creature, for this I used the airbrush brush since the texture I was looking for was much softer, unlike with the mother, for which I decided to use brushes a little flatter, with texture and shades of blue a little more intense and without blurring too much; in the case of both creatures being their versions (HoloMax) I decided to create a small effect of rainbow paint in the area of the belly, and in the case of the mother in the area of the forehead as well. To set everything as a marine background what I did was to use the gradient brush and darken a little the background, but leaving a small entrance of light just in the upper part, then with blue tones and the watercolor brush I was in charge of giving a little movement to the water, and I also created some bubbles; finally I complemented everything with some marine rocks and gave more depth to the scenery.
En la 3ra etapa me encargue de crear a las 2 criaturas marinas, en este caso use una paleta de colores bastante similar ya que las criaturas son de la misma especie, primero me encargue de darle forma a la pequeña criatura, para esto use el pince del aerógrafo ya que la textura buscaba que fuese mucho más suave, a diferencia que con la madre, para la cual si decidí usar pinceles un poco mas planos, con textura y tonos de azul un poco mas intensos y sin difuminar demasiado; en el caso de ambas criaturas al ser sus versiones (HoloMax) pues decidí crea un pequeño efecto de pintura arcoíris en la zona del vientre, y en el caso de la madre en la zona de la frente también. Para ambientar todo como un fondo marino lo que hice fue usar el pince de degradado y oscurecer un poco el fondo, pero dejando una pequeña entrada de luz justo en la parte superior, luego con tonos azules y el pincel de acuarela me encargue de darle un poco de movimiento al agua, y además cree algunas burbujas; finalmente complemente todo con algunas rocas marinas y le di más profundidad al escenario.
