As of now, over 1.13 billion DEC/Credits have been spent on the presale, which shows there is a solid interest from the community. It will be good to hear from the splinterlands team, once the presale closes, to see what the total amount made from the presale and whether it met expectations. Nonetheless, as we move into the final week, we're seeing the typical plateau with any form of preorder/presales will recognize. It's normal, but I do expect momentum to spike as the deadline looms closer next week, which is largely driven by players who don't miss out on the presale perks that Conclave Arcana offers.
Here's how the sale is shaping up:
- Standard Packs: 95668 sold (19.1% of the 500k supply)
- Alchemy Packs: 44575 sold (44.6% of 100k)
- Legendary Packs: 9084 sold (18.2% of 50k)
Alchemy packs are clearly leading the presale numbers as they offer the most cost-effective way to chase airdrop cards with multipliers. But with the Standard and Legendary packs still under 20%, there's plenty of room left for those wanting to get involved.
If you have been following splinterlands on X, the sentiment is overwhelmingly positive on Conclave Arcana. The card art alone is gorgeous, and I feel the splinterlands team went above and beyond to create distinctive elements between the different factions. Also, there is more emphasis on lore, and for the first time, it feels as if the splinterlands cards are more alive within the world they come from.
Cards Worth Looking Out For
Let's shift from hype to practicality: what cards should you be watching for once Conclave Arcana goes live?
Bristleborn Brigand
It's a low mana ranged attacker with the Snipe and Demoralize ability. Combine this with its high speed and potential synergy with more debuff monsters, and Bristleborn Brigand becomes a staple in a debuff team, especially in silver and gold leagues.
Flame For Hire
In the Fire Splinter, this support card stands out. It's built for utility with Stun, Void, and decent survivability, making it a control player's dream. You'll want this in your lineup, especially for those magic damage battles where you can exert control.
Taye Loreswift
Will this Neutral Legendary be top of the play charts at the year's end? I think so. I foresee Taye becoming a default card for many, many modern league players. It has Reach, Inspire, Snare and Pierce and therefore will not only buff the team, but also deal support damage from position two. All of this for a meagre cost of three mana cap.
These are only the highlights, and there are countless Conclave Arcana that will shake up the current meta. We are seeing more high-speed, low-health monsters with Conclave Arcana. Also, magic debuff monsters are on the rise, and therefore, you won't be safe spamming magic damage teams as it was during the Chaos Legion era.
Concluding Thoughts
The final week of a Conclave Arcana presale is upon us, and there's always a sense of excitement and the activity of last-minute buys. The creative team have crafted something unique with Conclave Arcana, and it's shaping up to be a meta-shifting set that will most likely result in a huge monster creep in the modern league.
