๐Ÿ’HOLY THURSDAY๐Ÿ™

Good morning to my hive's family, I want to share with you my Holy week story last month of April. We always go to church during the holy week.Last April 17,2025 we went to Barangay Timbangan Calbiga Samar.Where the 120ft-tall Statue of the Divine Mercy and on top of the St.Padre Pio church, is a 70 ft-tall Statue of the Mother of Mercy located in the vicinity of the Franciscan Sisters of the Divine Mercy Missionary Community in Brgy.Timbangan Calbiga Samar.

We were thankful to Uncle Dodoy and Lola Juana, who convinced us to go with them. Then they treated us for free for the ride๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ and the snacks, ice cream, and sliced bread with strawberry and ube jam๐Ÿ˜‹ . It's a memorable moment because we're often united with this kind of travel.

After we visited the Timbangan church, we attended the mass in Calbiga church, the Annunciation parish. The mass is solemn because it's a Holy Thursday, almost one and a half hours after the Mass.

๐Ÿ’HOLY FRIDAY๐Ÿ™

During holy Friday in our Barangay, we always remind and d the tradition of our ancestors. In our place at bangon, Pinabacdao, Samar, we have our traditions like sharing of different types of vegetables, like pinakbet, pancit, ginataan, chop suey, and others. On that day, I cooked noodles (Pancit)and a fried fish (baduya), which is my menu. My eldest daughter is the one who gives the pancit to our neighbors, she enjoys when she give the food. Then our neighbors also give to us the food. I remember my childhood days, I was the one who gave the food to our neighbors ๐Ÿฅฐ.

๐Ÿ’ GOOD SATURDAY ๐Ÿ™

My husband and my youngest went to Miramar Villarreal Samar, where my husband originated. We visit the family Daluraya, my mother-in-law's, and other relatives. In the morning, they have their tradition, the Station of the Cross (luhod-luhod). The people go around the town of Villarreal, praying and walking barefoot. Some people wear slippers and others do not.

Since I was a child, I have joined this tradition in our Barangay. In the evening, there's a mass in the Sta.Rosa Parish of Villarreal. I and my youngest son attended the mass from 8 pm to 10 pm. St.Rosa Parish Community gathered in the spirit of faith and unity for a solemn procession and Holy Mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Led by the parish priest and participated in by parishioners of all ages, the event was a meaningful expression of our love and devotion to our Blessed Mother.

โค๏ธ EASTER SUNDAY โค๏ธ

It's Sunday morning ๐ŸŒ…, and it's a nice day to wake up because it's Easter Sunday. It's the day Jesus resurrected from the dead. On this day family has a quick dive in the ocean at which is just behind the house of my in-laws. Everyone was happy, especially my children. For them, it's another Bonding with the family and with his cousin. At 9:00 am, we attended the mass in sta. Rosa church Villarreal Samar. Then I prepared our things to go home, because my two beautiful daughters are in Bangon, Pinabacdao, which is 9km away from Villarel.

Holy week reminds us of our faith in God. It is also the time we ask forgiveness for our sins and give thanks for all the blessings in life. We are not fortunate enough that provide anything that our children ask, but we are rich in faith that we want to instill in them. We want to instill in them the important things, which are the Good Values in life.
