Newbies Initiative

For a while, the Newbies Initiative has been inactive and that's because of the numerous activities that beheld our moderators. This time, we are back and with a different orientation.

We are changing the way we run the initiative and instead of running it monthly, we have decided to make it a 3 months program.

This changes is because we understand growth is a time process, which is needed and crucial to the growth of any newbie. A month guidance and support would be too little for a newbie to grow their account and fully understand the dexterity of Hive.

In this 3 months, there would be a total of 6 tasks and 5 discord meetings in which there would be live presentations to show and guide newbies over certain challenges they may face.

The Initiative would make a post announcement anytime it is going to be having a discord meeting in which authors who may not be part of the initiative may also like to join or partake in the meeting.

The Initiative tasks that would be given depends on the topic of discussion of every discord meeting and with a duration of 2 weeks each. So therefore, there would not be any task if there are no discord meetings; This makes the meetings very important for every applicant to attend.

For authors who do not speak English, there would be different meeting days for each native language i.e. A meeting of English-spanish, English-Bengali, etc. with each meeting having a human translator.

*This application is open from today, 7th September and has a deadline on 24th September 2021.

Iniciativa de Novatos

Durante un tiempo, la Iniciativa para Novatos ha estado inactiva y eso se debe a las numerosas actividades que tenían nuestros moderadores. Esta vez, estamos de vuelta y con una orientación diferente.

Estamos cambiando la forma de llevar a cabo la iniciativa y en lugar de hacerlo mensualmente, hemos decidido que sea un programa de 3 meses.

Este cambio se debe a que entendemos que el crecimiento es un proceso de tiempo, que es necesario y crucial para el crecimiento de cualquier novato. Un mes de orientación y apoyo sería muy poco t para que un novato crezca su cuenta y entienda completamente la destreza de Hive.

En estos 3 meses, habría un total de 6 tareas y 5 reuniones de discordia en las que habría presentaciones en vivo para mostrar y guiar a los novatos sobre ciertos desafíos que pueden enfrentar.

La Iniciativa anunciará cada vez que se celebre una reunión de discordia en la que los autores que no formen parte de la iniciativa puedan unirse o participar en la reunión.

Las tareas de la Iniciativa que se asignen dependerán del tema de discusión de cada reunión de discordia y tendrán una duración de 2 semanas cada una. Por lo tanto, no habrá ninguna tarea si no hay reuniones de discordia; *Esto hace que las reuniones sean muy importantes para que todos los solicitantes asistan.

Para los autores que no hablan inglés, habría diferentes días de reunión para cada idioma nativo, es decir, una reunión de inglés-español, inglés-bengalí, etc. con cada reunión con un traductor humano.

*Esta solicitud está abierta desde hoy, 7 de septiembre, y tiene como fecha límite el 24 de septiembre de 2021.

How to Apply:

Visit the SMILE Discord server, go to the #rules channel, and follow the instructions to receive the Newbie role. Then, go to the "ALIENTO" section, look for the #newbie-introductory-posts channel, and paste the link for your hive introductory post. It doesn't matter if it's old.

After that, write a newbie participation post to analyze if you truly understand this initiative's requirements and benefits (more details in the next point).

NOTE: To qualify, you must have a HIVE reputation below 65.00 and less than 500 HivePower.

Cómo aplicar:

Visita el servidor de Discord de SMILE, ve al canal #rules, y sigue las instrucciones para recibir el rol de Novato. Luego, ve a la sección "ALIENTO", busca el canal #newbie-introductory-posts, y pega el enlace de tu post de introducción a Hive. No importa si es viejo.

Después, escribe un post de participación de novato para analizar si realmente entiendes los requisitos y beneficios de esta iniciativa (más detalles en el siguiente punto).

NOTA: Para calificar, debes tener una reputación de HIVE inferior a 65.00 y menos de 500 HivePower.

Newbies Application Post

Besides the Hive Power and Reputation, another requirement to participate in this initiative is to create an application post. These are the steps you need to follow:

  • Contact @projectmamabg (her Discord username is: projectmamabg#3575) in the SMILE DISCORD SERVER to get a badge to use as your application post header picture.

  • Create a post in https://peakd.com/, https://ecency.com/, or https://hive.blog/.

  • If you don't have enough resources to post contact us and we'll make a delegation to get you started. Send a message to @eddiespino on Discord: eddiespino [Aliento]#2240 if you need a delegation.

  • Post title should contain the words "My Application to Newbies Initiative".

  • Share your thoughts about this initiative and also share a link to this post.

  • Mention your current Hive reputation and your Hive Power.

  • Write about your purpose or reasons for joining this initiative and give more details about your blog or topics that you like to write about.

  • Your entries should be written in your own words and not a copy of what is written here. Making original content is crucial to have success on Hive.

  • Write your post in English or in both English and your native language. You can use DeepL to translate.

  • Use #new-bie as one of your first four tags.

  • And very important: Share your post in SMILE DISCORD SERVER on the #newbies-posts channel and also tag @aliento in your post.

NOTE: Only a few newbies will be selected to participate in this initiative, so it's necessary to follow all the rules.

If HBD stays in the $1.00 range, we highly encourage newbies to set the rewards of their posts at 100% Hive Power. If you have questions on how to do this feel free to contact us.

  • We expect Newbies to power up as much Hive as possible in their first month. Here you can learn how to convert HBD to HIVE.

  • Participating newbies are expected to publish often, at least one post a day. This is possible to attain. That's why we would like to recommend you joining The 30 Days Blogging Challenge hosted by The Blogging Challenge Community which would help to achieve the goal of daily blogging on Hive.

  • Posts made by participating newbies are advised to be shared in the SMILE DISCORD SERVER in #newbies-initiative-posts under the "ALIENTO" category newbies can engage with each other by commenting on shared posts. We will be on the lookout for healthy comments and supporting them through upvotes or tips via the @peakd tipping system.

  • Engaging with other newbies is a very important requirement. Comments give life to the blockchain and they are a great way to meet new friends and to expand our vision of Hive.

*NOTE: The deadline for the application post is exactly in 17 days, on September 24th.
