HIVE GOAL: BECOMING INTENTIONAL

Yesterday I was trying to come up with a staking strategy for the next few months. I think it is important to have a strategy to allocate your resources properly.

My major challenge was sorting out the tokens I wanted to focus on and set a realistic target. I had five coins/tokens on my list, namely:

Hive HBD POB Cub BNB

HIVE - 5K STAKE

I really don't think there is any reasonable excuse for not being a dolphin right now. As some people have pointed out, I have received a lot of support since I joined the chain but it doesn't reflect on my account.

I planned to hit the 5k mark but got into a bad deal and that sort of ruined my objective but as I said earlier, that is no excuse, and I still have the time to fix things before the year runs out.

Based on my calculation I need to stake 18 hive every day (or 173 weekly) till the end of the year to meet my goal, which is not an easy feat but it is doable and I will pull all my resources to make it happen.

HBD - 400HBD

This is a side fund/saving for my IELTS and Rent for next year, so I don't have to bother about those things. I plan to use a portion of my salary (and hive earnings) for my savings plans, so I will be buying HBD with fiat (for the first time).

I consider HBD saving as a good way to save my fiat and it offers a 10% APR which is more than the banks are offering here at this point.

POB - 4K STAKE

It is no news that I am big on POB. To be frank, I have been surprised by my staking game on pob. Firstly, I have grown my account really fast in the past 4months and secondly, I am yet to power down which is crazy because you all know nonso loves his power downs.

The fact that I have been consistent with my staking goal for POB makes me believe I can do the same for my hivepower. I don't plan to power down any of my tokens for the rest of the year. It is going to be difficult but I will try.

To reach my POB 4k staking goal, I need to power up 17 pob daily (123 weekly) which can be easily achieved given my current earnings.

CUB-BNB

I have always wanted to have a portfolio outside hive and the CUB-BNB pool offers me this opportunity.

I had to choose between Leo and cub and I chose cub since it is not necessarily tied to hive. I think it is a good way to spread risk and diversify my portfolio.

I don't really have a figure for cub-bnb goal. The plan is just to put in surplus earnings. I hope to get my girlfriend/fiancee onboard as well and have her manage part of our portfolio (she is the prudent one).

If I follow through with my plans It would put me in a better position to add other tokens/coins to my portfolio. This time around I has someone to be accountable to--@blezyn. So if I slack I expect her to do the needful--give me problems.
