Una de las cosas que quería incluir en mi estilo de vida desde hacía tiempo eran las actividades al aire libre, aquellas que nos permiten despejar la mente, respirar y simplemente disfrutar de la naturaleza. En particular, me encanta estar rodeado de naturaleza, verde y frescor, por eso, cuando en el trabajo propusieron plantar árboles y también escalar una de las pequeñas montañas del lugar adonde íbamos, no dudé ni un instante en votar a favor. ✨🌱
One of the things I wanted to include in my lifestyle for a long time, were outdoor activities, those where we can clear our minds a little, breathe and just enjoy nature. In particular I love being surrounded by nature, green and freshness, that's why when my work proposed to do an activity where we plant some trees and also take the opportunity to climb one of the small mountains that are in the place where we were going to go, I did not hesitate for a moment to give or vote in favor. ✨🌱
Así que una mañana, muy temprano, fuimos a un lugar donde se encuentra un monumento natural llamado "Arístides Rojas", también conocido en la ciudad como "Los Morros de San Juan". Este monumento muy alto, es de piedra y tiene una forma peculiar. Se puede ver por toda la ciudad, en algunos lugares con mejor vista que en otros, pero donde íbamos, nos brindaría la mejor vista posible. Llegamos muy temprano porque sabíamos que sería un día muy soleado y queríamos aprovechar los beneficios del sol entre las 6:00 y las 7:00 a. m. Además, primero teníamos que ir al vivero ubicado en la casa de Inparques para recoger el árbol que íbamos a plantar. 🌳
Caminamos un poco y llegamos a una zona muy despejada con una vista espectacular. Para entonces, el sol ya había calentado bastante y el cielo estaba tan despejado que no cabía ni una sola nube, pero aun así, era un día precioso. Todos empezamos a localizar el lugar donde queríamos plantar nuestro árbol y después nos tomaríamos un momento para empezar a subir la colina.
So one morning, very early, we went to a place where there is a natural monument called "Aristides Rojas", also known in the city as "Los Morros de San Juan". This very tall monument is made of stone and has a peculiar shape. It can be seen all over the city, in some places with a better view than others, but where we were going, it would give us the best possible view. We arrived very early because we knew it would be a very sunny day and we wanted to take advantage of the benefits of the sun between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. Also, first we had to go to the nursery located at the Inparques house to pick up the tree we were going to plant. 🌳
We walked a bit and arrived at a very clear area where the view was amazing. By this time the sun had warmed up quite a bit and the sky was so clear that there was no room for even a small shape produced by a cloud but still, it was a beautiful day. We all started to locate the place where we wanted to plan our tree and after that we would take a moment to start our walk up the hill.
Comenzamos nuestro recorrido y la verdad es que fue todo un reto, ya que es bastante empinado y en algunos tramos hay que tener mucho cuidado con las piedras. Sin embargo, siempre nos ayudábamos para llegar a la cima. Decidimos no excedernos, ya que desde esta colina podríamos llegar a una parte del monumento, pero debido a la distancia, no habría tiempo suficiente para ir y volver a una hora conveniente sin que el sol calentara demasiado y algunos no tendríamos suficiente energía, así que solo subiríamos esta. Durante el camino se puede observar la ciudad y a medida que vamos escalando, el panorama se amplia mucho más dejando ver en todo su esplendor no solo muchos sitios sino el resto de colinas que está alrededor. Además, por supuesto, tendríamos una vista mucho más cercana de "Los Morros" y podríamos tomar algunas fotos con un ángulo excelente. 🍃✨
We started our tour and the truth is that it was quite a challenge because it is quite steep and in some parts you have to be very careful because there are stones but we were always helping each other to get to the top. We decided not to overdo it because from this hill we could get to a part of the monument but due to the distance, there would not be enough time to get there and back at a good time without the sun getting too hot and some of us would not have enough energy so we would only climb this one. Along the way you can see the city and as we climb, the panorama is much wider letting you see in all its splendor not only many sites but the rest of the hills that are around plus of course, we would have a much closer view of "Los Morros" and we could take some pictures with excellent angle. 🍃✨
Hablamos, reímos, incluso nos entretuvimos un rato, pero nunca nos dimos por vencidos y continuamos nuestro viaje. A veces parábamos para respirar un poco e hidratarnos, y la logística fue tan buena que nos dieron frutas y algunos dulces por si a alguien le bajaba la presión. Mientras continuábamos, tomamos muchas fotos y videos, y disfrutamos del hermoso paisaje que se veía desde allí. Lo logramos, con mucho esfuerzo y muchas ganas de lograr este reto que nos habíamos propuesto, y valió totalmente la pena porque la vista era espectacular. ¡Sin duda, una de las mejores cosas que podemos incorporar a nuestro estilo de vida son las actividades al aire libre! We talked, we laughed, we lingered a bit even but we never gave up and continued our ride. At times we stopped to breathe a little and hydrate and the logistics were so good that they gave us fruits and some sweets in case someone's blood pressure dropped. As we continued we took many photos and videos and enjoyed the beautiful scenery that we could see from there. We made it, with great effort and with great desire to achieve this challenge that we had set ourselves and it was totally worth it because the view was spectacular. Without a doubt one of the best things we can incorporate into our lifestyle is outdoor activities! I hope to be able to do this again soon because I loved it.
