Namaste 🙏

Hope you all are doing great!!!

So today I’ll be telling you guys about my journey to one of the ancient himalayan village that is situated near Manali called Shagchar Village.

This village is about 20 km away from Manali, apparently, but in real, if we check the aerial distance it just about 10 km. It’s just you have to cross across the valley and climb on top of this mountain to reach here.

I drove to this village in my 4x4 car, which I parked in the village parking as you can see in the photograph below. It literally felt like I was in a top of the mountain and I could see the snow cat peak right in front of me. They were other cars parked on the side of the road as well that you can see in the photograph as well.

From the Parking, now, we had towards the trail and really ancient trail infect that would further lead towards a secluded place, right in the middle of the woods. It was a exploration day for us, and we wanted to explore the remote himalayan regions of this area.

I was with one of my friend, and we specially came to this place for some peace. Just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the regular life, it was our destination to unwind for a while and being between the nature.

The trail letters to the outskirt of the village, and we were elevating from the place where we parked our car. We were slowly getting towards the top of the mountain, and we could see the better view of the himalayan ranges right in front of us.

In just about 5 to 10 minutes of walk, there was no settlement right in front of us now, and we left the village behind and get in the wilderness. Right in front of words was the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas.

The sun was shining bright, and it was a really pleasant day for such an adventure. There was a cool breeze in the air that made us feel tranquil. We were captivated by the mesmerising view of the snowcap mountains right in front of us. Just after walking for about 15 minutes, we stopped at this particular spot from where we could see. The snow kept high altitude peaks.

I took out my mobile phone just to find out which peaks we were looking at. I have an application in my mobile phone tells me through my camera that which peak I am viewing right now.

The two, most famous peaks of the Kullu district that is Deo Tibba and Indrasan with other peaks, such as Shirgan Tungu, Jodo were visible from there. Deo Tibba and Indrasan Are more than 6000 m from the sea level and that’s really high, considering the other regional peaks.

Now we could see the view of Shangchar village from up there. The village were looking very tiny. Been here in this place before, but it never look like this. It was I guess my third time visiting this place and every time I visited here before it was different.

We had the full day for the exploration, so this was just the first half an hour of our trip. The trip was going to be great, and I will be telling you guys about my trip in the next logs, so stay tuned.

That’s it for today.

Peace ☮️
