They will come. Give them time. Not all of them, obviously. Somebody has to play the violin while the ship sinks.

I've noticed recently many friends of mine are becoming interested in cryptocurrency. Bitcoin being mentioned daily in the news surely helps.

Most just want to make a quick buck and act exactly like they do in sports betting. Others don't have a clue how a bank works but read some article from someone arguing how crypto will kill the banking system and now reproduce the message without understanding the basics.

To be fair, these are already around for a while. I'm really happy to see that those that carefully plan their lives and have a long term plan for them, their families and businesses are finally becoming interested in what cryptocurrencies can do for them.

They don't have to be crypto enthusiasts or experts. Some of them just understand saving and investing and are adding crypto to their portfolios. Even if they just see it as one more asset class, which is a very simplistic view, they are participating.

Some people don't tolerate risk and avoid stocks. They invest in bonds or simply have a very aggressive saving routines. Interests used to be good for low risk simple investments. Now they're not and banks are charging for everything. Account fees, card fees, payment fees, transfer fees...

Risk aversion is still risk aversion but many start thinking: "What if I just put a tiny part of my portfolio in crypto?"

After all, his neighbor who is a jerk has a new car because he bought bitcoin 2 years ago.

And her brother-in-law who never had a real job is now moving to a house with swimming pool?!

We can find FOMO and certainly a little envy in real life, not only in exchanges and trading charts.

In summary, people that just want to make their lives better are arriving to the crypto world. They will bring their friends and family or they'll follow them when they notice the outcomes.

Be ready to help. Don't just throw them referral links.

The migration is happening and will continue to happen slowly and gradually... until the day it is massive and fast. You better be onboard when that day comes.
