Hello Splinterlands Summoners!
In this week’s challenge post, I want to share a bit of my personal journey in Splinterlands with all of you—especially with the huge hype surrounding the release of the newest set: Conclave Arcana. But before we dive into that, let me take you back through my journey from the Untamed era up to this very moment.

From Untamed to Conclave Arcana: A Long Journey

I started playing Splinterlands during the Untamed era—back then, I honestly had no clue what I was doing. I just joined in because everyone was talking about it during the early days of the pandemic. But who would’ve thought? Splinterlands ended up becoming one of the few games I’ve stuck with consistently for more than three years.

I still remember the excitement when Chaos Legion was released. But to be honest, I felt like that set was kind of… too much in terms of print volume. I think the Splinterlands team was reacting to the surge of players during the pandemic, so they printed a massive supply of Chaos cards. Unfortunately, the market couldn’t keep up, and that led to falling prices for cards, DEC, and even SPS.

But since the Rebellion set, things have started to look more balanced. The supply feels more controlled, staking SPS and DEC on Land finally plays a crucial role, and there’s even SPS burning happening—which brings back a sense of scarcity. And now? We’re at the peak of that shift—right before the launch of Conclave Arcana.

The Hype and a Sharp Price Spike

Recently, SPS surged by 84% compared to last month. And guess what? This jump happened right around the time the release date for Conclave Arcana was announced. That tells you everything—you can feel the hype! Both players and investors are reacting, and it’s one of those rare and exciting moments to witness in real-time.

Personally, I’m super happy because I’ve been focusing on collecting and staking SPS from the start. Not in huge amounts, but enough to make a difference. I also stake DEC on Land as a way to support the game’s ecosystem. These small moves might seem minor, but if we all do it together, it makes a real impact.

DEC Is Rising Too

It’s not just SPS—DEC is also slowly climbing back toward its peg value. That’s a big deal, because it could finally allow the flywheel mechanism to run at full power. Until now, it’s only been working in short bursts. Just imagine if it starts spinning properly—DEC and SPS could have a much healthier relationship.

I sometimes catch myself thinking, “Man, I should’ve bought more SPS back then.” 😂 But hey, that’s the crypto market for you. We never know what the lowest price actually is. The key is to stay consistent and buy when it feels right. I’m aiming to stake 25,000 SPS by the end of this year. Fingers crossed!

Everyday Challenges and Realities

Last season, I managed to reach Diamond III. This time, I’m fighting my way up from Gold II. Opponents are often unpredictable, which can get frustrating, but that’s what makes it fun. Every loss teaches me something—whether it’s about card selection, placement, or attack timing.

I’m still focusing on the Modern format because my deck is much stronger there. I haven’t dared to dive into Wild yet, even though the rewards are better. But honestly, facing real players (not bots) in Modern is already satisfying enough.

A Closing Note from a Long-Time Adventurer

If you’re new to the game, don’t rush for rewards. Enjoy the journey. Try out all the rulesets, study monster abilities, and join the community. And most importantly—don’t stress too much about token prices. This game isn’t just about profits; it’s about strategy, perseverance, and the bonds we form.

And for all the veterans out there like me… Conclave Arcana is coming. This might just be the beginning of a new era—one that brings Splinterlands back to its golden age.

See you in the arena, summoners!
