Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will talk about Jicarilla the Rime (Human), a Legendary Water Unit from Conclave Arcana edition with Cleanse Rearguard, Tank Heal, Phase Ward, and Echo abilities, and more, as well as an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.
JICARILLA THE RIME
Jicarilla the Rime is a Legendary Water Unit From Conclave Arcana edition with Cleanse Rearguard at level 1, Tank Heal at level 2, Phase Ward at level 3, and Echo at level 4. And it costs 7 mana.
Brief Descriptions of Abilities:
- Cleanse Rearguard : "Cleanses the last allied backline unit with a magic debuff"
- Tank Heal : "Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position."
- Phase Ward : "At the start of battle, the unit in front of this unit gains Phase."
- Echo : "Active abilities (Repair and all healing and cleansing abilities) trigger twice per round."
Cleanse Rearguard
Jicarilla the Rime has the Cleanse Rearguard Ability, which provides the backline cleanse at level 1.
Cleanse Rearguard ability scans the backline for a unit with a Magic Debuff (Negative Status Effect) each round and starting with the unit in the last position, it will cleanse the first unit it finds with a magic debuff. It can be very useful especially in battles with the Noxious Fumes ruleset and will be a great support to your team.
Tank Heal
When Jicarilla the Rime is upgraded to level 2, she gains the Tank Heal Ability that can restore 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position each round.
It is always useful to heal the unit in the first position, especially when enemies are targeting the unit in the first position. If all enemies are targeting the unit in the first position, stacking units with Tank Heal will be very useful. Consistent healing frustrates and exhausts your opponent.
Phase Ward
When Jicarilla the Rime is upgraded to level 3, she gains the Phase Ward Ability, which gains Phase ability to the unit in front of it at the start of battle.
- Phase ability : "Magic attacks have the same chance to miss as physical attacks."
Magic Attacks always hit their target, but they can miss Units with the Phase ability, which is why I like to use the Phase ability against Magic attacks. Phase is very useful against magic attacks and in magic-heavy rulesets such as like Wands Out.
Echo
When Jicarilla the Rime is upgraded to level 4, she gains the Echo Ability, which triggers active abilities (Repair and all healing and cleansing abilities) twice per round.
Triggering Repair and all healing and cleansing abilities twice per round is very useful in battles. In other words, repair, heal and cleanse abilities are already very useful in battles, and triggering them twice per round will frustrate and exhaust your opponents, making your team much harder to defeat. Also, it is very useful in battles with rulesets such as like Armored Up, Noxious Fumes.
Jicarilla the Rime is an amazing card with abilities that can be very useful to the team. Having a max level Jicarilla the Rime card is a huge advantage because Jicarilla the Rime with Cleanse Rearguard, Tank Heal, Phase Ward and Echo abilities will benefit your team in many battles and make friendly units much more difficult to destroy. I have just started reviewing all the cards in the Conclave Arcana edition and already Jicarilla the Rime is one of my favorites.
There are 3 variants of Jicarilla the Rime cards: Regular, Gold, and Black. Black foil cards came with the Conclave Arcana edition, older editions do not have Black foil. All Regular Foil cards start at level 1, Gold Foil Common cards start at level 3, Gold Foil Rare, Epic and Legendary cards start at level 2. All Black foil cards come at max level. I love the black foil cards and would love to have them all. Black foils look really amazing, don't they? The lucky ones will get the Black foil cards when opening their Conclave Arcana packs, I wish you the best of luck as you open your Conclave Arcana packs. Meanwhile, Conclave Arcana pack sales continue, click here for more info, and they have also started trading on the Hive market.
I had the chance to use the Level 2 card Jicarilla the Rime in a battle, it is truly an amazing card. Click here if you want to watch the battle;.
The opponent's strategy was also good and they had 3 Heal abilities in their lineup but no Tank Heal ability, which was a really big deficiency in my opinion. In such battles I always include at least one Tank Heal ability in my lineup, which I did in this battle and added Jicarilla the Rime to my team. Also, Jicarilla the Rime having magic attack is an extra advantage so I added her to my team. Having both tank heal ability and attack power is a great advantage.
My strategy worked pretty well and my team won the battle pretty easily, the most interesting thing is that at the end of the battle my team didn't seem to take any damage at all, in fact almost all of them had more health than they started the battle with.
So what's your favorite card in the Conclave Arcana edition?
