Hello everyone!
My adventures in Thailand are not only about tourist trails and noisy beaches of Pattaya. Sometimes my family and I go away from the hustle and bustle to immerse ourselves in the real, unique culture of the Thais. On one of these trips, we came across an amazing park where, among the greenery, there were structures that looked like an ancient castle. As soon as I saw the stone walls and lion statues, I realized that I could take some cool photos here.
We arrived in the middle of the day, when the heat was in full swing. At this time, Thais prefer to hide in the cool of their houses, so the park was almost empty. I didn’t find any people to photograph, but I have a reliable assistant — my wife. She always helps out when I want to take pictures, but there is no suitable model. She was wearing a green dress, which, frankly, blended in a bit with the surrounding greenery. But retreating is not my style, and I decided to make the most of the situation.
Stone lions, walls darkened by time and thickets of tropical plants created the atmosphere of an ancient castle lost in the jungle. I experimented with angles, trying to catch the contrast between the ancient stones and my wife's bright dress. After six months of photography, I have not yet decided on a favorite genre - I like landscapes, portraits and macro. But old objects and architecture, especially in combination with something modern, always catch my attention. These shots turned out special: there is something mystical in them, as if we were transported to another era.

Some of the pictures, especially with arches and columns, reminded me of Italy - a country that my wife and I dream of visiting. Maybe it's because of my love for Italian cuisine or because such places breathe history. Looking at the photo, I imagined us walking along the narrow streets of Rome or enjoying pasta in the shade of an old castle.

For me, photography is not only a hobby, but also a way to learn to see the world in a new way. I'm still at the beginning of my journey and dream of reaching the level of photographers whose work I admire on Hive. If you are a photographer or just like to take pictures, I'd love to hear your advice in the comments! What should I improve? Maybe work with the light or composition? Any hint will help me grow.
This park was a small discovery for us. It is not listed in tourist guides, but it is precisely such places - with their silence and authenticity - that are remembered for a long time. We left with a bunch of photos and warm memories. What unusual places have you found on your travels? Share your stories in the comments - I'm really interested!
I write my texts myself, correct mistakes and translate via ChatGPT (which is not a violation on Hive)!
All photos were taken by me personally - I am a beginner photographer, so I ask professionals not to judge strictly.
Thank you for sharing these moments with me! Until new stories and new holidays!
