El Salvador is a country that has been controversial in recent times I learned more details about its current president Nayib Bukele, thanks to an interview that he agreed to give to one of the biggest YouTubers in Latin America, Lusito Comunica and his partner, in the podcast program "En Cortinas".

In that opportunity, I learned more about the vision of this president and the focus of what he wants to achieve in El Salvador. Recently in one of his conferences with the representatives of the other countries, he spoke about how he did not want El Salvador to behave like a colony, but that he wants it to be like Canada or another developed country in the future.

In one of those opportunities, I also heard him talk about universities in technology and the opportunity that exists in this area, highlighting his interest in El Salvador to build nanochips and technological advances that are in demand today.

Bitcoin will be legal in El Salvador

When I read this news, I can't deny that I was surprised. President Nayib Bukele, I think surprised most of us. I think that Nayib Bukele saw the opportunity to bring more investment to El Salvador and at once it is also an opportunity to promote technological development in his country, he pointed out that about 70% of the population of El Salvador does not have bank accounts.

Now there are many factors to analyze especially for those who wish to invest in El Salvador, a large majority of the nation's legislature voted in favor of President Nayib Bukele's proposal for the nation to adopt bitcoin.

I am not a fan of talking politics, I like to talk about Blockchain and the opportunities it offers. However, with this news from El Salvador, I felt it was necessary to give my opinion and share one of the first things I thought of.

In Venezuela, there was an attempt to make this adoption but the facilities were not given and people do not trust a private currency that was being used by the Venezuelan state, I am talking about the Petro. Now we will have an opportunity to see and participate if it is possible in the adoption of cryptocurrencies in El Salvador. There is a lot to learn from now on.

Those who follow my blog for a long time know how passionate I am about traveling and El Salvador is a country with certain tourist attractions, volcanoes, beaches, and more. However, I think that in addition to that, it must be great to visit a place where you can trade cryptocurrencies, pay for services, and more.

This post is intended to show you my first thoughts regarding this topic, and I hope to bring more specific content soon. There are many comments regarding this news Is it possible for politicians to have media control of decentralized systems? Many concerns arise around it. The adoption of cryptocurrencies is just beginning.
