Meetup Berlin
Yesterday I met 3 amazing people! @vaultec enjoys his holidays in Berlin and asked me if we can meetup. I immediately said yes of course since we know each other for quiet some time on-chain but never had the chance to meet in person. The lovely @llunasoul and @growandbow where also ready to have meetup so we gathered at the RAW area for a little flea market stroll.
Every Sunday there is a market full of clothes and my plan was to buy some new old trousers. But because of the many exciting conversations, I was not able to get into the "crawl through clothes mindset". But that's fine since these moments last forever - trousers usually don't.It was a pleasure to meet all of them! We had exciting conversations about life in general, but also the very promising project called @vsc.network. I am a witness there and I already have various ideas/plans for smart contracts as soon as they will get launched. I am also very excited about the upcoming liquidity pools and the overall cross-chain functionalities that will bring a lot of value to Hive! After 2,5 hours I had to leave because my plan was to combine this meetup with a calm sunday walk somewhere between Berlin and Hamburg.
Cleanplanet Walk
At the Hive Creator Days, I set a goal to go on more CleanPlanet walks. Since the weather was amazing yesterday, I decided to clean up a spot somewhere between Hamburg and Berlin. I usually don’t stop along the autobahn for a walk, so this little “adventure” felt refreshing and exciting.I spotted a lake from the road and took the exit at Neuruppin. My GPS led me to a parking area near the lake, but as it turned out, I couldn’t actually reach the lake itself. Instead, I found myself wandering through a small forest where I even saw a fox 😍. From there, I ended up in a nearby community garden (Kleingartenanlage), which was incredibly clean and well-kept.

Kudos for the people keeping this area clean!
In just around 30 minutes, I still managed to fill my small bag with plastic wrappers, cigarette butts, broken glass bottles, and other bits of litter. I definitely need to get back into the rhythm of doing CleanPlanet walks more regularly and next time, I’ll try to document it better with more photo evidence. But for now, here are a few pics:
Next time I am going to make more photos of before-and-after
The search for a public trash can didn’t go so well so I ended up taking the bag of trash with me in the car 😂. I drove about 50 km with it until I found a gas station, where I could properly dispose of everything. And just like that, the #cleanplanet walk was officially complete!
I think combining @Actifit and @CleanPlanet is such a great idea. Next time, I’m also planning to write more about the cleanup location itself and link to another amazing project: @Worldmappin. Three awesome initiatives: all with real-world impact and purpose!
