I have finally got a bit of time to review the hotel I’m staying at in Thailand this time. I’ve been moving hotels the first few days as I am watching the concert but now I’m settled in this hotel. It’s located near Asoke called Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20. I was very lucky to get an upgraded room so I extended my stay rather than move half way through the trip. I am an Accor Member so that might have helped with the upgrade.
The room is a corner room facing the city with a huge window. The large king size bed was super comfortable with lots of pillows. The bathroom does not have a bathtub but it does have a rain shower. As I am on this trip solo, the room is very comfortable with a nice work table and a sofa for me to rest after a long day out.
The hotel pool was very nice with lots of chairs ready for guests to use. I’ve been up there for a few times for a swim and have been able to have a sun lounge every single time. I didn’t use the gym but it seemed sufficient.
I didn’t try their restaurant as most of my meals were delivered by Grab as I love local food and restaurants so had to try them out for breakfast and supper. The staff here was fabulous. The only downside of this hotel is the distance to the BTS which is around 10-15 minutes slow walk but the hotel does offer a tuk tuk service to the station which saves me some time. Minus the distance to the BTS, the hotel ticks all the boxes for a comfortable hotel with a reasonable price tag.
